    We can't help what salad bar Christians believe. We believe in the WHOLE KJV 1611 BIBLE and not just the parts that make us feel good inside. These maudlin, kissy poo Christians are damning this fine nation to Hell. God does not love everyone, that is a lie and you know it in your heart. Mary worshipping, ring kissing papist dogs will be the first ones to go to Hell after the rag headed mooselimbs.

    I'm a Catholic too, and I think the major difference is that Catholics tend to be good, decent human beings, whereas everyone else tends to be evil degenerates who spit on God's face. About Protestants in particular, they are mostly arrogant and prideful heretics who take it upon themselves to interpret God's words, completely reject the church Jesus lovingly offered them, and think that their silly so-called "faith" (which actually is very small, considering all the things they won't believe in, like transubstantiation) is enough to save them. Here's a good thread I made showing Catholic beliefs:

    Hello

    I am a Catholic that recently came to this forum. If you read my introduction: http://www.landoverbaptist.net/showthread.php?t=28579

    Many of the differences between Baptists and Catholics were discussed here.
    Except one difference I did note was that many of my Baptist friends believe that God loves everyone (This is what I believe as well) and the Baptists here did not.

    If you have any further questions I have spent quite some time deliberating the differences between Catholics and Baptists and the justifications for each side and will be happy to provide unbiased answers

    Oh, and the Bible states that the ceremonial title of Father is reserved solely for God, whereas the Catholics apply it to any transvestite paedophile they can find:
    Matthew 23:9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.

    Son, we don't use satire on this HOLY board. And we don't have to, since the Catholics do a smashing good job of it themselves - worshiping fish instead of God.

    Here's an ancient stone relief showing a Chaldean fish priest:

    Notice, how the fish-head looks like today's papal mitre and how the fish-body looks like a cloak. Here's a picture of a bunch of Mesopotamian fish-priests to facilitate comparison.

    Most of the major catholic heresies have been covered -- one overlooked though, is that the cathylicks, in direct opposition to scripture, take eviloution seriously. Obviously this is nonsense; God created the earth in 6 days and eviloution is impossible.

    Some points for starters:

    1) Catholics have a pope at the head of their church
    2) Different bible
    3) Believe in transubstantiation (sp?)
    4) Pray to Mary who is actually Isis in disguise, stolen from Paganism as much of catholicism and xtianity actually is.
    5) Catholic priests are not permitted to marry, and are addressed as 'father' instead of 'pastor'.
    6) They have nuns.
    7) Believe Peter to have been 'the first pope'
    8) Veneration of angels and dead saints, and use of images.
    9) Making the sign of the cross.
    10)The Rosary, mechanical praying with beads

    To name a few. There's more.

    Well, then you're going to hell.. Just for being too lazy to accept Jesus.

    Quite stupid of you, I'd say.
    Eternal torment in a literal lake of fire can't be too fun.

    If you are completely unfamiliar with True Christianity™ and the innumerable false Christians and cults in the world, I wonder what you are doing here? Perhaps Jesus has called you here to help you get Saved©.

    I never said Landovarians like Wikipedia. I said they had an excellent page on "criticism of the catholic church".

    Maybe you should read it!

    But, since you prefer to rehash it here, Catholics:
    • Don't believe Hell is an actual place, just a "state of separation from God" (per Pope John Paul II), in direct conflict with Scripture;
    • Pray to statues and stained-glass windows of Mary and of other dead people, whom they call "saints", to intercede on their behalf instead of praying to God, in direct conflict with Scripture;
    • Pray to wafers and wine, calling them Jesus' flesh and blood (making them cannibals);
    • Forbid priests to marry, in direct conflict with Scripture;
    • Forbid the eating of meat on Fridays and in Lent, in direct conflict with Scripture; and
    • Claim that friends and family can "pray" their deceased loved ones into Heaven, in direct conflict with Scripture.

    They also put their traditions over what the Bible says, in direct conflict with Scripture, and add texts to the Bible. Oh, yes, that's in direct conflict with Scripture.

    In short, nearly everything Catholics do is in direct conflict with Scripture.

    They even use a crucifix instead of a cross, indicating their focus on the crucifixion and death of Christ, rather than His Resurrection.

    You may note that I have not touched upon pedophilia. This perversion is clearly condoned by the Pope and Church hierarchy, as they continually hide priests who sexually abuse children, and shuffle them around to new parishes where they may molest again. No person who truly condemned the rape of children would provide the child-rapists with fresh victims each year! However, this is not a "formal" doctrinal issue, which is why it is not in the list above.

    We pray to Jesus, for one, instead of His mom and a Nazi pedophile in a tallywhacker-shaped hat. We actually worship God instead pretending to eat Him. We read the Bible, and we believe God when He tells us that He wrote it. That covers the basics... oh, and we're also not too keen on buggering little children. Wacky, isn't it?
