I believe that homosexuality is genetic and not a choice...the choice comes into play when action is taken on impulse. Same way temptation leads to sin...same thing really.
So a little boy growing up in a strict Catholic household realizes he's gay. He is taught that his feelings are wrong, immoral, impure, and are abhorred by everything in his being (which they are). So he decides that to "repent" for his grave sin of being homosexual he will become a priest and dedicate his life to Christ...problem is...feelings are still there...repression is still there from his childhood. So the combination of repression and homosexual tendencies make him find an attraction to the innocence of a small boy while fueling his sick sexual urges...and then he..."A man of God"...falls for Satan's temptation
