Catholic Church Issues "Pre-Sex Prayer" for Couples

The Roman Catholic Church, not content with its current methods of offending God, has issued a prayer couples should recite prior to intimate relations.

Part of the Catholic Truth Society’s Prayer Book for Spouses (Prayer and Devotion), the prayer reminds Catholics of their innate worthlessness (good!) but also asks Mary to intercede in the intercourse, I think (bad!):

Father, send your Holy Spirit into our hearts. Place within us love that truly gives, tenderness that truly unites, self-offering that tells the truth and does not deceive, forgiveness that truly receives, loving physical union that welcomes.

Open our hearts to you, to each other and to the goodness of your will. Cover our poverty in the richness of your mercy and forgiveness. Clothe us in true dignity and take to yourself our shared aspirations, for your glory, forever and ever. Mary, our mother, intercede for us. Amen.

Is it possible this is a new form of Catholic birth control, intended to induce impotence? Or are they trying to include God in some sort of sick sexual 3-way?

I guess with Mary, it's a "fourgy".

Unless you count God, Jesus, and Spirit. Then we're up to six!

Prior? That's interesting. My experience has been that people usually cry out to God during the act of physical congress, and sometimes after. But I guess it doesn't hurt to get a head start.

Since so many papists are fornicators, their prayer to their goddess probably goes something like this: "Blessed Virgin Mary, conceived without sin, I pray that I have sinned without conceiving."
