This thread relates to another one of our "separated brethren."

Most sedevacantists believe that no pope since Pius XII (died 1958) has been valid. They see Blessed John XXIII (1958-1963), Paul VI (1963-1978), John Paul I (1978), Venerable John Paul II (the Great) (1978-2005), and Benedict XVI (2005-present) as invalid. Some of them have taken names such as:

Gregory XVII (the late Palmarian Catholic head)
Pius XIII (Lucian Pulvermacher)
Michael I (the Thrift-Store Pope)
The most common one has been Peter II (which no real pope has dared to take).

I add them to my list, that we may pray for them that they may see the truth...

And? They're right. A valid Pope is like a Quaker in Heaven: an oxymoron by definition.

It is possible for anyone to get into heaven-Us Catholics believe there will also be other Christians in heaven, as well as some Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, etc...We even think there might be some Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses in heaven.

A while ago, a priest of ours, Fr. Leonard Feeny, said that unless you were a member of the Catholic Church, you would go to hell. He was excommunicated.

Yet if he was one of your clergy and said such things about your church, you'd probably hail him as the closest thing to a saint!

Brother T, do you know anything about Popes? I would say the Catholic priest might know better in this area than you do.

We have mutual respect for your kind, like we have mutual respect for the Orthodox. However, we do not think women should be ordained as priests (Since Jesus appointed men as his apostles, only men may be priests). And we never will do it-even the Pope has admitted he has no such power.

Yet I digress...Once you read what I've said about Fr. Feeney's fate, you will understand what I'm saying...

Yes, we Episcopalians are well aware of that, Fr Martin. Probably you don't approve of women bearing the Chalice or attending the clergy at the altar, either, which is what I do. However, we also have a mutual repect for your kind.

How exactly do you think Buddhists and Hindus who don't accept Christ are going to get into Heaven?

No. We simply believe that one must carry out the Lord's commands in order to get into Heaven. If other Churches fail to do this, I hardly see how it's our fault that they're going to Hell.

If one believes they are doing right, and loves God as much as they can, they can go to heaven...Yes, I'd say you have a shot at heaven too, as you don't know we're the true Church?

No. We simply believe that one must carry out the Lord's commands in order to get into Heaven. If other Churches fail to do this, I hardly see how it's our fault that they're going to Hell.

And we carry out the Lord's commands, don't we? The big guy in Rome is his Vicar, and the successor of Peter (yes, the apostle)

Men in the priesthood is doctrine (can't be changed). Limbo was a custom (can be changed).

Even he that is least in the congregation of Landover knows that there is only one way to Salvation - Jesus:

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Help an old man out, brother. Pope JP II abolished Hell in 1999 and Pappa-Ratzy whisked the Limbo Infantium away earlier this year (I wonder what happened to all those unborn babies.)

Do the fish-heads still believe in the Limbus Patrium (for those grownups who died before Christ's ministry). And is Hell still abolished or has the infallible Pope Benedict DCLXVI annulled the edict of the infallible JP II?

Okay, the word "Antichrist" has two meanings...

1. What John meant-one who falsely claims to be Christ (None of the popes have ever done that).
2. What is commonly meant-the one who will fill the world with wickedness until he is defeated by Christ on the Last Day (The world still exists, and several popes have died, so that doesn't fly, either)

So you've never changed a doctrine ever?

In a word, the Catholic Church is indefensible.

That's why their high-powered lawyers have accepted to pay 660 M$ in Los Angeles alone, just to hush up accusations.
