    The Roman institution gets it right for a change ...

    and the JYT is infuriated.

    Sister Margaret’s Choice

    We finally have a case where the Roman Catholic Church hierarchy is responding forcefully and speedily to allegations of wrongdoing.

    But the target isn’t a pedophile priest. Rather, it’s a nun who helped save a woman’s life. Doctors describe her as saintly.

    * * *

    Sister Margaret was a senior administrator of St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix. A 27-year-old mother of four arrived late last year, in her third month of pregnancy. According to local news reports and accounts from the hospital and some of its staff members, the mother suffered from a serious complication called pulmonary hypertension. That created a high probability that the strain of continuing pregnancy would kill her.

    * * *

    Sister Margaret was a member of that committee. She declined to discuss the episode with me, but the bishop of Phoenix, Thomas Olmsted, ruled that Sister Margaret was “automatically excommunicated” because she assented to an abortion.
    In other words, that penguin woman took it upon herself to play God and kill a baby. Did she honestly not believe that if they had tried faith healing, Almighty God could have empowered them to cast out the demons of pulmonary hypertension? (Then again, she was a Romanist, so probably not.)
    This church is dedicated to preaching True Christianity™ and the King James Bible exactly as they are, with no alterations to make them more politically correct for modern liberals. If you think that we've misquoted or twisted Scripture or quoted any verse out of context, please explain in detail how we've done so. Otherwise, if what you read on this site offends you, then you're offended by Almighty God and His Word, not by us.

    This is shameful. The Bible tells us that women are to bring forth children in sorrow:

    Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee. Genesis 3:16

    The irony here is that, now that this murderous woman is no longer a Mary-worshipping Catholic, she actually has a chance to be born again in Christ Jesus.

      I do have a concern here. It is so rare for the Vatican Politburo to do the right thing, I cannot help but smell a rat.

      Considering the Sister's eagerness to murder the baby, I can't help but wonder if their are some shenanigans regarding the identity of the father.

      Or should I say Father?

      Is the nun covering up a sordid priestly peccadillo?

      Or worse, is the father a Cardinal or Bishop and was the baby a demon spoor ??

      This situation needs to investigated.

      And not by Catholic stooges.

        Whether one can trust Rome or not, you have to say they are finally trying to follow the Landover Baptist model of how the manage a religious organization.

        That is to say, there are absolutes. There is a line in the sand. Make bad choices and you are history. That's the Landover way. Maybe there is some hope for the Catholics.
        Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

          Amen! They should have prayed. It was the only hope to save the baby and the mother.

          James 5:14-15 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
          Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.
