The new building has to be useful. Catholic cathedral is not useful. A McDonald's or a shopping mall, that would be useful.

Dear Sister Basilissa, I think you’re onto something. I wondered about erecting a Starbucks yesterday, but your idea of McDonald’s is very worthy. Perhaps we could persuade our God-sent President to get his builders over there, knock down what’s rest of that pile of rubble and then build a new complex. It could be a plaza of useful, much-needed restaurants, and and also contain a public square for us when we preach the to those Cathyolick Frenchies.
I’m so sick of hearing about tourists having no choice but to eat frog legs and snails there. I say banish the bourguignon, and to hell with the croquembouche crowd! It’s high time that we, the servants of the Most High , demand our rights to have our choice of what WE want to eat there. So, in addition to the two places suggested, how about including Cheesecake Factory, Howard Johnson’s, Denny’s ’til Dawn, Jack in the Box, Krispy Kreme, Baskin-Robbins, Red Lobster and of course, the most restaurant of all: KFC. Given that America saved France TWICE how about a fitting tribute to the brave soldiers who died fighting on 9/11 saving Freedom?

Maybe I forgot, but all you weenies with TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome) are now listening to AOC and think that we all need to be wearing propeller beanies to generate wind power and carry solar cell umbrellas to keep the rain out - instead of roofs. If a real estate developer like Trump doesn't know how to build a roof, we're all in trouble.

I think it should be built the exact way it was originally built. This building was really important to France.

What makes you think that building was so important to the Frenchies? Did they have fire insurance? Was there a sprinkler system installed? No. Even on their web site, they warned that a fire could happen. Besides that, they were notorious in running a shop in there, flagrantly spitting in the eye of our , defying His instruction that such buildings are NOT to be used for the selling of merchandise! Is it any wonder that dear above sent the fire to destroy this hut of idolatry? It was a church in name only. Thank that we believers have the real church of the : .

I agree that Donald Trump should get to the rights for the redesign. Just look at what happened when he made his own Taj Mahal. So much better than the gaudy, overrated, tourist trap original. France, of course, will have to foot the bill, but it will be so much better for their property values, their tourist income, and their eternal souls. This fire was a sign from God and a chance to make Paris great again. The Trump Notre Dame needs to happen.
