It's all part of His plan (although it should be noted that Hitler was a Catholic, not a Christian). Maybe it was a sign of His love for the Jews, that He wanted them to have their country back and knew that would only happen if something happened to make everyone feel sorry for them.

Sorry about the catholic/christian confusion, but to us Atheists you monotheists all look alike...
