-Created big government dependence, the cause of our current economic crisis.

Because the Gold Standard didn't already have a big government dependence. It was even more unstable then our current market.

-His "New Deal" went on for nearly ten years and the economy did not improve a bit. Only after WWII did the economy improve.

The economy actually started to improve 3 years after he made the new deal, at the break of WWII, and was only prevented from working earlier due to a Recession.

-He waited way too long to get America involved in stopping the Axis forces. He was still trading with Germany until Pearl Harbor!

He had a policy of non-involvement, as did most presidents before him.

-He created internment camps for American citizens of Japanese ancestry.

War hysteria has a lot to do with this.

-He refused to allow boatloads of Jews trying to escape Europe to enter America.

This makes him a bad president?

When he did finally find generals worth a damn (Grant and Sherman), he let those generals engage in a bloody campaign that directly targeted Confederate civilians (Sherman’s March to the Sea).

They deserved it. They were told it was illegal if they attempted to leave the union, and they refused to listen.

He suspended the writ of habeas corpus, which allowed him to arrest thousands of U.S. citizens (including plenty of journalists) and hold them without cause or trial. When a U.S. Circuit Court overturned Lincoln on this, he simply ignored their ruling.

We needed a strong president, and that's what he was. He didn't have time for trial to be caught up in court, especially during wartime.

He won re-election in 1864 through a variety of questionable tactics, including having Union troops redeployed to states to pressure and intimidate voters.

Actually, the southern states couldn't vote during his reelection campaign, or until after reconstruction.

He never had a particularly high opinion of blacks, starting from indifference to the plight of slavery and eventually concluding that freed slaves should be shipped back to Africa.

No, he didn't. He wasn't necessarily a racist, but had connotations of such.. as did most people during that era.

He fought for quite a while to preserve slavery in border states and only turned to emancipating slaves as a last-ditch strategy for weakening the Confederacy. (As for Lincoln’s views on the morality of the subject, keep in mind that he was not a Christian; in fact, Lincoln wrote a small book explicitly rejecting the veracity of the Bible.)

During wartime, you have to make sacrifices. Had a border state left, the north and south could easily be split right now.

He kept border states like Maryland loyal to the Union by first promising not to end slavery there, then by hauling away political leaders without trial.

James Buchanan, probably. He allowed the Civil War to break loose without even trying to prevent it.

How is Nixon the worst President ever? Ill ask your reasoning. He wasnt a Democrat, he disliked the hippies and liberals who were ruining the country with their pot and acid music. He met the Beatles and Elvis and Willie Nelson but it is a known fact he preferred gospel music. He was forced into early retirement by liberals and the mainstream media. Sounds like an honorable guy to me. The FACT that he was exonerated and given a full pardon seems to be lost on you.
