Really now? We need to pray to Jesus in English? What about all the little children that speak Finnish, Swedish, Yiddish, Russian, or other languages, how will they find Jesus son of Joseph? Why should they pay unfairly?
I'm sure if Jesus is the Almighty, he understands even Icelandic spoken backwards with a Japanese accent ..
You have the gift of translating tongue don´t yah?
First of all, I know what language it is, I have the gift of translating tongues. Second, it is not a Christian prayer. It doesn't mention Jesus once, and it was written by a guy who did not accept the Bible as the literal Word of God. It's a bunch of pagan crap that's been adopted by Alcoholics Anonymous, who use religion as a shield so nobody will discover that their program doesn't work. Since all Icelanders are alcoholics anyway, that's obviously where you got it from.
If you want to stop being a drunken sinner, you must accept Jesus into your life as your personal Savior. And for God's sake, start praying in English if you want Jesus to listen.

That was actually a Christian prayer. The Serenity Prayer in Icelandic:
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change,
Courage to change the things I can,
And wisdom to know the difference.
Amen.

Look, I seriously doubt that either of us are "going anywhere," when we die.
You'd better start wearing asbestos underwear, just in case.
But if... I´d find myself dead and in front of a door that had the name "Landover Baptist Church" on it, I would probably never open it
Don't worry about that one, you won't have the key, anyway.
The same would applie for Al Qaida, the Mormons, Jehovah´s Witnesses and so on and so on.
Well, at least you have some sense.
And since you guys all settled for only one book to live by, why didn´t you choose Alice in Wonderland? At least you´d be living underground, and the rest of us could live our lives in peace...
Alice in Wonderland was written by an atheistic pedophile (atheists, lacking morality, are not concerned about sin). We don't support kidnapping little girls and subjecting them to horrific sexual exploitation. That would be fornication, and fornication is wrong.

One ring to rule them all, one ring to bind them....
Look, you don't need spells to stay off the bottle, you need to accept Jesus and the Holy Bible. And for heaven's sake, get out of godless Iceland.
True. If you're an enemy of Jesus and America, George W. Bush's presidency was a disaster for you.
And yet the book of Exodus tells us that Pharaoh was going to release the Hebrews from slavery, but God hardened Pharaoh's heart because God wanted to show the world how powerful He was by unleashing vicious plagues on Egypt and slaughtering its children.
Also, Matthew 13:10-17 Jesus told us that He preached using confusing stories so some people wouldn't be saved when they heard Him preach.
Does that sound like free will to you?
Teddy Roosevelt was a communist. People worked hard to build up their monopoly trusts, and that pansy Roosevelt said that government had to step in and break them up. That set in motion the entire system of unfair and counterproductive regulations on business--environmental rules, safety regulations, forced saving for retirement, no bribes to foreign dictators, these things all cost American jobs. The only good thing about TR's presidency was that he was strong on defense.
We as a nation can't afford to let judges force their morals, ethics, laws and ways of thinking on us. That's what Republican-controlled Congresses are for. And just look at all the problems that were caused when the slaves were freed! That's what you get when you tinker with a perfect document.
Oh, I understand you. Of course Muslims and atheists and Catholics and other non Christians should not be able to vote, because they all want to impose their religions on everyone else.
They're all going to Hell. We don't want to go there with them.
The Bible told True Christians™ that the Earth is flat long before the Constitution was around.
You're lives are so empty, you don't even realize that they are empty. How sad.
Where does the Bible say that?
Look, I seriously doubt that either of us are "going anywhere," when we die. It´ll just be Fine, Fin, Slut, Endir, The End.
But if I accept an afterlife, just for the argument sake, and I´d find myself dead and in front of a door that had the name "Landover Baptist Church" on it, I would probably never open it - I would consider it as the door to Hell. My personal Hell. You see?

I mean no offence to you Reverant, but the word "success" is very debateble, wouldn´t you say? Depends on the viewpoint, doesn´t it?
True. If you're an enemy of Jesus and America, George W. Bush's presidency was a disaster for you.
And since God gave us all a free will, he resigned his "patent" on both ethnic and opinionmaking. We make that choise

Well, imagine if you had voted Mr. Bryan into office. Well - there would have been a loss there, TR might not have become president.

Do you consider your Constitution to be eternal? You can´t force the morals, ethics, laws and way of thinking on the future generations, can you? They have the right to claim their freedom, as did your Founding fathers.

I would find no problems if it did. I´d not find it as fine, if they voted in some Godly theocracy. Leave God out of politics, and goverment. Democracy doesn´t need a God, does it?

What about people of other faihts and religions? What about the atheists?
They're all going to Hell. We don't want to go there with them.
Not even Barack Obama can forbid you to belive that the Earth is flat. That right is guaranteed to you in your Constitution.
The Bible told True Christians™ that the Earth is flat long before the Constitution was around.
Otherwise you shouldn´t worry too much about the unsaved - we are just fine.
You're lives are so empty, you don't even realize that they are empty. How sad.

A Constitution wich guaranteed freedom of religion should do the trick all the time. And since you have one of those, you shouldn´t worry too much. Not even Barack Obama can forbid you to belive that the Earth is flat. That right is guaranteed to you in your Constitution.
Otherwise you shouldn´t worry too much about the unsaved - we are just fine. Society is also there for us you know. We live in the same world as you. So you migth settle for secular society while you´re here on Earth, the Heavens are waiting for you anyway. As for the rest of us, we probably wouldn´t wanna go to such a place, so I do not see your probleme...

And the "Tyranny of the majoroty," is the worst case scenario possible in democracy. We could find many examples of that in history, and in many different countries. But you can practise democracy in a civilization, and you could, with your beautiful construction of it...
Theodore Roosevelt was part of the vile "progressive" wing of the Republican Party that first unleashed a long string of socialist "deals" starting with his "Square Deal" (followed by socialist FDR's "New Deal" and Democrat Harry Truman's "Fair Deal"). He was an embarrassment to True Republicanism and was part of a long string of RINO's, neo-cons and other communists under which we have long suffered. The Tea Party is presently our only hope for bagging and purging this long line of treasonous politicians.

We indeed know what democracy is – the tyranny of the majority. "Democracy" is any group of thugs that out number you can take away your property. You need laws, and not just any old made up "laws" passed by a "democracy" – a government of laws and not of men. Then just where are you going to get these "laws" – from some wigged out self appointed "law giver" like Hammurabi, some camel dung stoked up false "prophet" like Mohammed, or from God Himself handed down to Moses and the instructions from Jesus.
