Are you using some form of evolutionary theory here? The birds already went "extinct" before without human involvement "136,000 years ago" according to David Martill, of the University of Portsmouth, publishing in the Zoological Journal of the Linnean Society.

There is some muddled thinking here by Martill. Since the Earth is no more than 6000 - 7000 years old it is not possible for something to go extinct 136,000 years ago. The Linnean Society has an extreme bias. It has a vested interest in promoting evolutionary theory. It does not disclose this severe conflict of interest in its publications. It's only apparent when doing deep research into the Society, like checking wikipedia


Any academic reviewer worth his salt would have picked up this timeline error. The Journal of Creation would (and perhaps did) reject this deeply flawed paper. If there is a kernel of truth in this paper, then it is that God exists. But we all know that from the lives we live and the Users Manual for Life - the KJV Bible.

Genesis 9 is extremely clear on this: "Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you". So everything that lives has been created by God to do with as we please! If we want to exterminate all California grizzly bears, Japanese river otters or New Zealand musk ducks, God couldn't care less!

Brother Larry, you and Mister White seem very passionate about this subject. Did Brother White ever hold private study sessions at his home or private office with you to discuss and research the field of extinction further? It seems like something you two would do. I should never assume a man of God, however.

When I was a student of Dr. Elmer White in the Creation Science Ph.D. program, he was about to start a new class offering called Punctuated Smiting which was designed to attack the questions being raised by liberal scientists about this phenomenon. I know he was planning to have Brother Bobby Joe as a guest lecturer.


I hope he was successful in getting approval for the course even though I was not able to remain a student after almost exhausting my student loan limits on grading fees and professor salary recovery. (Funny, my current school doesn't have those)


Anyway, we touched briefly on the subject in our course "Extinction: Is it Biblical?"


I recall Dr. White's dynamic statement, "If GOD wants something to be extinct, it will damn well be extinct. It's up to HIM what lives and what dies and for how long. God makes the decisions about all aspects of life. We should daily thank the Lord for His creation and our ability to rub shoulders with it. God didn't have to give us shoulders, you know." The class applauded as if one person. Actually there was only one person in that class - me. But anyway:


One of the most frustrating aspects of studying Creation Science is that secular science is there each step of the way, trying to make us look like buffoons. It's why Dr. White often locked himself in his classroom or his office, praying the oppression away while pleading the Blood of Jesus. I hope all of you appreciate this man who is doing all he can to bring honor and integrity to his field.

Honestly, I think extinction is a pack of lies.

I firmly believe that God does everything for a good reason and we do not have any right to question it or any reason to understand it. We are just people who by His Everlasting Grace® (at least unless he decides we have out lived our usefulness) are allowed to temporarily live on His Earth.
I suspect God rotates animals, much like they do with the chicken at the PigglyWiggly supermarket so the old product is up front and the new is at the bottom. Not all creatures have usefulness and therefore have no value.

I am sure once basketball and running ends, the need for the nigra will also fall by the wayside. A tractor gets more work done with less maintenance.

This also raises the question of why the bird did not evolve useful wings or the ability to float.

I've seen quite large birds floating, such as swans. Compared to the weeds shown in your picture it looks much smaller than a swan.

Therefore it should be able to float. And yet refused to do so even after its island sank. Perhaps something had driven them feeble minded?

Then the very environment it "evolved" in wipes it out? Next, the oceans are supposed to be rising catastrophically since the last ice age about 10- or 20-thousand years ago. But not on the Aldabra Atoll, evidently, where it got flooded 136,000 years ago and now, during the post-ice-age catastrophe, has re-emerged with sufficient stability for birds to "evolve" again? Am I missing something here?

Anyway, my question is that quite soon Jesus will be killing most people (and, obviously, most of their children) so they won't be here to care whether birds go extinct or not. Will there be any need to conserve any species at all in that case?

This isn’t a case of Satan overtaking the dead to revive as hell spawn is it? Are we sure this isn’t a sign that the rapture is ever closer?

It is not all lost as the saved will ascend to heaven while Jesus comes to shake the Earth at its very core to cleanse the world of sin once and for all. I am praying that my theological theory on an extinct bird coming back is not true, however.

There are a few things to learn here - foremost of which is that if the commies at CNN readily admit that if a species can return "from the dead", they must admit that Jesus can too.

One again, Darwin's "random mutations" are proven wrong - what are the chances that another "random mutation" will produce the same species again from the previous "random mutation" (P ~ 0)?

I'm looking forward to a Bible (KJV1611) believing business like Chick-fil-A to honor God's resurrection of the white-throated rail (Dryolimnas cuvieri) with a sandwich named after it - like maybe a Dryolimnas-fil-A.

Extinct species of bird came back from the dead, scientists find

Why, you may ask, is this creature “Proof of God”?

Well before you read the report from the Communist News Network, I would ask the gentleman of the house to make a judgement as to whether the women and children are ready to hear the word “evolution” as that word appears in the report.

As further preparation, you should re-instruct your family on the “Law of Punctuated Smiting” (this is not a “theory” it is a “Law”) as laid down by the Flint Medal winner Bobby Joe.

Bobby Joe’s discovery has stood the test of time and has made prophecies that, as the years progress have been found to be “without error.”

The earth-shattering discovery of this law is so simple, that I make no excuse for quoting the abstract:

Science has long noted sudden change in species and been puzzled by it. From time to time animals will suddenly, as if over-night, show abrupt changes in appearance or behavior.

Well finally Christian science has an explanation; Punctuated Smiting. It takes biology out of the dank dungeon of secularism and into the light of God’s sweet reason.

It goes like this;

God creates a species for His ineffable purpose.
The Species angers God for some sin it commits.
God is wrathful and destroys the species.

But researchers found similar fossils from before and after that event, showing that the chicken-sized bird re-appeared when sea levels fell again a few thousand years later, re-colonized the island and again lost the ability to fly.

The flightless rail can be found on Aldabra to this day.

The extremely rare process is known as iterative evolution -- the repeated evolution of a species from the same ancestor at different times in history.

"We know of no other example in rails, or of birds in general, that demonstrates this phenomenon so evidently," co-author David Martill, of the University of Portsmouth, said in a statement.

The rails on Aldabra lost the ability to fly over time, because the lack of predators made it unnecessary -- just as the dodo of Mauritius did.

Unfortunately, that gave them no means of escape when the island was submerged and all its flora and fauna were wiped out.

But unlike the dodo, which became extinct in the 17th century, the white-throated rail was resurrected to tell the tale once the island re-emerged and birds started migrating to the destination again.

That means one species of bird from Madagascar gave rise to two separate species of flightless rail on Aldabra in the space of just a few thousand years.

Christian Executive Summary:

God creates the Aldabran Rail for His ineffable purpose.
The Aldabran Rail angers God for some sin it commits. (I suspect it was because God gave it wings and it refused to fly)
God is wrathful and destroys the species.
God repents of His wrath, creates another species that is slightly different. (This time it is flightless but still has wings – this is rather like “original sin” - your ancestors’ mistakes follow you to the grave.)
God replaces the smited species with it. (This is what “scientists” have now found. It is so similar that it has fooled the scientists and only God knows the difference!)

Now – who are you going to believe? Some scientist who says birds came from monkeys, and claim that all the atoms just came together "in a certain way" to make a perfect Aldabran Rail, not only once, but TWICE – or God?
