With Trump's experience in delivering quality education at the University level, it is no wonder he would have a special interest in helping the Universities ramp up in the new COVID era.

Phase I of the plan was to try and ban foreign students. That was a success.

Phase II of the plan is to require full-time 9-5 face-to-face teaching. This is important to ensure the students get value for money. This is a success.

Phase III is probably coming next. As we know, competition is the driver of innovation. So Mr. Trump is probably looking at options for doing that. This will be a success.
If I have seen further, it is by standing on the heads of others.

Getting rid of foreign students was a powerful step. In the paper here was an article about graduate students just ready to receive their PhD's being sent off packing. One is from England.

What do those foreigners expect, to give U.S. citizens the virus and they waltz on with their lives. We need more justice than that.

Then there are the pointy headed liberal professors who claim they need the foreign students for the research grants. The President has higher goals than taking care of these liberal free loaders.
Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

He or she (or whatever made-up pronoun it uses this week) may have technically been from England, in the sense of having arrived from there, but as most people in England are now filthy immigrants that means nothing. Also, as long as the US-born traitor president-minister Johnson of England is refusing to allow Real Americans(tm) to enter his pox-ridden little country without enforcing quarantine on them, it's perfectly obvious that the President had no option but to retaliate.

The President's decision to refuse visas to foreigners who could perfectly well pay their tuition fees to study at Harvard or MIT without actually entering the country is arguably one of his finest innovations. If Harvard and MIT are incapable of reorganizing themselves into online diploma mills, they deserve to be shut down.

        Re: Foreign students

First they came for our jobs, and I didn't speak up.

Then they came for our education, and I didn't speak up.

Then they came for our women, and I didn't speak up.

Then they came for me, but, by that time, no one was left to speak up for me.

Liberals should think about this. If they're able to think at all.

Foreign graduate students being paid out of research grants using our tax dollars? Am I hearing that giant sucking sound that H. Ross Perot used to talk about?

Then there are the universities that want to charge full tuition but students attend lectures by watching videos of lectures remotely? That's sort of like ordering a cake at a bakery and paying full price, then when you go to pick it up you're handed a link to a YouTube video of Rachel Ray baking a cake. That's simple enough that even a woman can understand.

brothers, lift your voices, loud your anthems raise.
          ...and get off my lawn

Damn grousing millennials need to learn to fish and stop expecting free fishcake (even if they are paying full price for it).
