Many an evolutionist will come to you with the argument that a perfect God could only create a perfect world, and that a perfect world would only have perfect species. They will claim that it's obvious that since so many species are apparently flawed, a perfect God can not exist. They will cite examples such as the pinky finger, wisdom teeth, the subclavius muscle, and body hair as examples that we either had to evolve, or that we have extra parts. In either case, they claim, Intelligent Design is not an option. I will begin by explaining why evolution could not have possibly happened and some of the ways evolutionists make their belief seem valid.
When evolutionists speak of evolution, most people think of microevolution; that is, the limited variation that takes place in a species or families complex gene pool or genome. This actually happens, and there is evidence for it. However, there are actually four more kinds of evolution that the atheists won’t tell you about. They bunch them all together under the title “evolution” and then provide evidence for microevolution in order to make you believe that evolution actually occurs on large scales. The other kinds of evolution are:
~Cosmic Evolution – Cosmology or how the Universe came into being. This is usually associated with the Big Bang. There is no evidence for the Big Bang. The only supposed evidence for the Big Bang does not show that the Big Bang happened, but rather that the Big Bang Theory is internally consistent. This doesn't’t mean it happened. Rather, it means that all the pieces of the theory fit together, while the whole thing is still false.
~Stellar Evolution – How the stars, galaxies etc. formed. There is also no evidence for this. Instead, speculation occurs based on what conditions could have been like after the Big Bang. Since we’ve already shown that the Big Bang couldn't’t have happened, the argument for stellar evolution is based on false premises, a blatant logical fallacy.
~Solar Evolution – How the Sun and the planets formed in our solar system. Again, we see that the theory of Earth’s evolution is based on the assumption that stellar evolution is correct. Since it is not, this theory is also false.
~Macroevolution – The postulate that says all life formed from earlier organized non-life and through some form of mutation, natural selection, and enormous amounts of time. Evolutionists arrive at the theory of macroevolution (the transition of one species into another) by extrapolating the evidence of microevolution over large periods of time. Remember, recorded history has only been around for about 6,000 years (margin of error: 2,000 years). Even if man had begun recording then, we still wouldn't’t have enough evidence to support macroevolution. There is no evidence that one species can change into another species. Rather, it has been shown that species intermix, but never has this resulted in an entirely new species.
Thus we see that evolutionary theory could not have possibly happened. But why all the imperfections? Why is it that, if the carotid artery is so important that it's so close to the surface of the skin? Why, if the eye is also so important, can it be disabled by a speck of dust? If man was made to go barefooted and naked, why are there thorns and thistles to get cut on? Even more basically, if we needed to scavenge or hunt for food, why can't we see in the dark? Well, I'll tell you why. Because we were designed for the Garden of Eden. In the garden, the carotid artery would never have been threatened, therefore it's position would have been a moot point. There were no thorns or thistles before the fall, so going barefoot and naked would not have mattered. Due to the perfect placement of trees, grass, and sources of water (placed by God Himself), dust would have been virtually non-existent. God gave man all of the food he would ever need right at his fingertips (Genesis 1:29). Man would never have to scavenge for food. It would be there all the time.
"Well," the atheist will claim, "surely Adam would have stumbled and fallen or broken a bone, etc." Sure, why not? Why do you think humans are such regenerative creatures? You can break bones in a car wreck, for example, because you are overriding the bodies design parameters. Adam was designed to walk with God in the cool of the day, not go 80 MPH with God down the highway. If we stay within the operational parameters of our bodies, we will be fine. Not only that, we must also stay within the operational parameters of our soul (mind, will, and emotions) and spirit (the real you). For example, the emotions can become easily overwhelmed by lack of the basic necessities of life. In the Garden of Eden, everything was provided for us. There was no mental or emotional stress. They didn't have to decide what to put on in the morning. They didn't have to impress their boss or deal with whiny kids or disobedient wives. It was almost literally Heaven on Earth. Also, the spirit was perfectly fulfilled. Before the fall, man was in perfect communion with God at ALL TIMES. They would speak directly to one another. That feeling you get at the altar, when time and space don't matter; when it's just you and God fellowshipping...Adam had that all the time on an even deeper level. It only makes sense. If the fallen nature separates us from God, and we can still have that kind of communion with God, Adam must have had something even closer to God. So when we feel like we just can't get close enough to God, we're right. There's that barrier we just can't get past. The sinful mind, will, and emotions, as long as they are not in line with God's perfect design, will hold us back from Him. Even if we get our mind set, our unredeemed body is still in the way. So you see, we were designed for Eden and only when the Rapture happens or we die are we restored to that pre-fallen, perfect state in which our glorified spirit, glorified soul, and redeemed body all interact in perfect harmony with the already perfect God. Shout Glory!
