    Heaven has a flaw

I've been thinking, and I've come to a conclusion. The idea that humans were created by god, to serve god after they die, seems incredibly foolish. If god wanted servitude, he could have asked any of the numerous angels around him for some. If he simply wanted a show to watch (like the never ending amusement of living, feeling being suffering because of him) then he could have just created a tv.
If he wanted servants who chose to serve him in the first place, then he already has some, they are called angels. Remember, according to the bible, Satan chose to rebel against god, thus the remaining angels choose to continue to serve him. So why does he need humans?

If he wanted something besides angels to serve him, then why does he make the ones that chose not to burn in hell? That seems a little extreme considering he could have just made them cease to exist.

So, the final question. Why did god create people in the first place, and why does this mean I have to serve him and pay the church 10% of my money?

If that money was going to god, then once I put it into the donation plate, it would have burned away instantly, and on the wall, words would appear saying "thanks". Since this this is certainly NOT the case, I am forced to believe that the church is an intricate system designed to steal your money.

As a last note, if a person really has free will, then they can choose either path without fear of consequence. An example of what god is doing is, pointing a gun at someone's head and saying "Look, you have free will. You can choose to die, or you can give me your money."
In this situation (and in life, if god is real) this person has not real choice in the matter. Sure he can choose to be shot, but since this would hurt him a lot less then giving his money, he chooses the first option.

So, if god is real, I concluded that he is a tyrant who should not, under any circumstances, be worshipped. So, why are you worshipping him?

Why wouldn't you want to go to heaven? It's better than Puerto Vallarta, and you'd go there on spring break.
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

You are being foolish. God had the grace to create us so that we could exist, it was a selfless and noble act. Do not question Him.

He gave humans free will to choose whether or not to worship Him. Those who choose not to are sent to Hell to serve as a warning for others.

You have to worship him because He tells us to and because He is perfect. You pay tithes because the church needs money in order to tell more people about His word.

How do you know that it would happen like that? God has no interest in material goods such as money. He leaves it on the earth so that it will serve its purpose: to be used in order to tell more people about Him.

Don't blame God! Blame Satan for tempting people in the first place!

This is not a debate forum, it is a forum devoted to glorifying and worshiping him, so why are you here you demon?

You really are an extraordinarily arrogant human being to question God.
If humans evolved from monkeys, why are there still monkeys?

There is NOTHING in the Bible that tells you to think. Thinking is rebellion against GOD. Making conclusions based on thinking is what got the world into it's present condition. If you want to be a beatnik and read poetry go ahead but don't try to poison our minds.

Free will means there are consequences for our choices.

We can choose to follow God's Laws, all 600+ of them, and beg Him to forgive our petty sins. In this case, we can spend eternity serving Him in Heaven!

We can choose to ignore God's Laws. We might break a few of them -- stealing a cookie before dinner, lying about whether our homework is done -- and then spend an eternity being burned alive in Hell as our punishment.

Just as in your example, we have choices, with clear-cut consequences. You can choose your own adventure, friend.

So, if god is real, I concluded that he is a tyrant who should not, under any circumstances, be worshipped. So, why are you worshipping him?
          See above discussion of consequences.

            Heaven has a flaw
Right, like you're in any danger of experiencing the supposed flaw in Heaven (unless of course you repent and set up a tithing schedule).
This church is dedicated to preaching True Christianity™ and the King James Bible exactly as they are, with no alterations to make them more politically correct for modern liberals. If you think that we've misquoted or twisted Scripture or quoted any verse out of context, please explain in detail how we've done so. Otherwise, if what you read on this site offends you, then you're offended by Almighty God and His Word, not by us.
