I am a patient prescribed to (marijuana) or cannabis I am not a dead beat or a drug addict. I care about my health a lot I run 2 miles a day and am a strict vegan 90 percent of the food I eat is organic I do not drink alcohol or smoke cigarettes. I have a medical problem and I do not want to take pills to help me with my pain. I choose cannabis because it has never once caused an overdose, cancer, liver problems or many other side affects that are caused by all other drugs. Aspirin kills about 700 people per year but cannabis has not ever killed anyone. It could be considered the safest drug known. Scientist can not overdose lab rats using THC the active drug in cannabis. When you smoke a drug it works instantly you can take just enough and stop pills take time to dissolve there amounts are how much a drug co. put in a capsule not how much you need. Some times I wake up at night in pain I can take a couple of hits cannabis and go back to sleep and only be awake 5 min when I took pills I would sit in pain in a chair for a half hour weighting for relief and then have trouble going to sleep because of being fully awakened then waking up with a pill hang over or “pill head.”
    may GOD bless you. jeremy

I agree with Angels -- you sound like you are posting while high, and you are not coming across as very witty.

And yes, if you are purchasing Salvation from someone, make you get the extended warranty AND the money back guarantee. I'm sure that you'll want to cover all of your bases . . .

NO use thanking me in advance. I won't be reading your book. So much fuss, just because you want to spit in Jesus face and get high! Poor Jesus already has enough trouble with those crazy homosexual catholics in black leather garb. Oh and I'm really excited about some old gal with Alzheimer's doing bong hits. I think I'll go clean the lint filter on my dryer!

PS The moment I smell that Devil weed coming out of your car or God forbid, blowing in my face is the same moment that I'll be calling 911!

    tl;dr

How about you swing by the Introduction Forum and say "Hi", and tell us a little about yourself. I seriously doubt that anyone is going to do a point by point rebuttal of a drive-by first post from a stranger. I would be nice to see if you are serious, or just looking to troll.

Well, smoking wacky weed isn't the answer to your problems, friend. You are only going to create more problems for yourself that way. Maybe if you got off your butt and took care of your responsibilities, you wouldn't have anything to be anxious about, and that sense of accomplishment would do wonders for your depression. Instead, you are sitting around smoking dope, shirking your responsibilities, and letting things pile up, and you are wondering why you are anxious and depressed.

New to this forum or head-bashing conflicts of Christian beliefs and values…

I stumbled aCross this forum searching for evidence of the topic "is smoking weed" a sin against the Lord. Reason being, I'm suffering from chronic depression, overwhelming responsibilities, and of course "anxiety".

First off, he is without sin, let him cast the first stone - I'm sure after reading these "real Christian replies to people’s needs", someone will interpret "stones" into "stoner". And deliberately call me a fool or an idiot or a confused Christian, or whatever you all will conger up, we'll see...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Jesus come to heal the "sick", not the "healthy"? Or, does that apply to pre-salvation "law"? Or, is it post-salvation too? There are plenty of Christians out there today suffering from "many" attacks of this world and the last thing people need is someone telling them that "they must of done something really bad for God to curse them" for suffering chronic back pain, fatigue, stress, overwhelming confusion in terms. I have a few questions for you to ponder, as follows:

We must ask ourselves a serious question here in regards to the body as God's temple (I’ll keep it simple, for the simple):

    1. Who here drinks soda? Diet or regular? Gatorade?
    2. Who here eats an abundance of food to satisfy their mood?
    3. Who here eats junk food?
    4. Who here eats meat?
    5. Who here can find "anything" on the grocery store shelving that doesn't carry an abundance of "ingredients"?
    6. Who here actually researches the food that they put in their body?
    7. Who here drives a vehicle (of course you're passing on emmisions on to the innocent and yourselves here)?
    8. If we are to obey are government (that we put in place) and they turn around and tell you that you must kill a "suspected" terrorist, would you? Would you obey your government if they told you that you must abort your child because there are too many people in the world - could you obey your governing authorities then? If they are taking your tax dollars and supporting/funding abortions, would you stop paying taxes, or obey? How about the war funding of millions of murdered people, that you're paying for, is that grounds for obeying your government as well?

Simply stated, how do you live a life in today's world without filling your body with complete filth? Anyone have an answer to that? It's impossible! You can not do it! That is why we are saved by grace through faith, not how we “live”. We are “working” out our salvation on a daily basis. It’s a road that only each individual must follow with the Word, through the Holy Spirit, and “hopefully” a true supporting body of Christ!!

I would just like to add some information that might plant a little perspective here, do some research on the following topics through Google videos and/or YouTube and you may think a little differently about "submitting ourselves unto our government". As follows: Monsanto (the GMO's you eat), “In Lies We Trust, The CIA, Hollywood, and Bio-terrorism”, here's a good one, “Earthlings”, regarding the meat that you eat. You start opening up your minds a little and maybe you won't be so hard on the guy looking for some "natural remedies" for their own personal issues!!!!

    In Peace

We aren't concerned with ALL the medical/biological facts and research. We aren't concerned with ANY of the medical/biological facts and research. We are concerned ONLY with God's will, as expressed in the Holy Bible, King James Version 1611.

Jesus said not to criticize other people for their habits. "Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; that which cometh out of the mouth defileth a man." (Mat. 15:11)
That is true. Jesus is not against inhaling marijuana smoke. He is, however, against exhaling it.

The apostle Paul wrote, I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean. … For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. (Paul: Romans 14:14,17)
Romans 14 dealt with whether the dietary laws of the Old Testament applied to non-Jewish Christians. He concluded that they do not. I'm open to the idea, subject of course to the interpretation of the good pastors at Landover, that it's not sinful to eat marijuana, but no way does Romans 14 justify smoking it.

I have a family member who has Alzheimer's disease.... Long story short, she is off both FDA meds and has actually improved at a cognizant level, and without the ill side effects.
What did she do to piss God off so much that he inflicted Alzheimer's disease on her? Or was it something her parents or grandparents did? You should be careful, God often punishes sins onto the third generation.

God said, "Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed which is upon the face of all the earth.…To you it will be for meat." … And God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. (Genesis 1:29-31)
Yes, again, that doesn't cover smoking, just eating.

The Bible predicts some herb's prohibition. "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times, some shall … speak lies in hypocrisy … commanding to abstain from meats which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. (Paul: 1 Timothy 4:1-3)
    Marijuana isn't a meat.

Essentially we "shall not bear false witness" about people who use cannabis, nor judge them because that judgement is reserved to the Lord.
Bearing false witness means lying about facts, not having a doctrinal interpretation different from your own. And judgement is not reserved to the Lord:

Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20

The Lord hates those who speak lies and sow discord among brethern.
Indeed he does. That is why we tell the truth and do not sow discord among saved Christians.

The Bible speaks of a special plant. "I will raise up for them a plant of renown, and they shall be no more consumed with hunger in the land, neither bear the shame of the heathen any more." (Ezekiel 34:29)
Cannabis increases hunger, it doesn't eliminate it. You got the wrong plant.

Even bioscience has proven that during biblical times cannabis was used in at least 12 ways: clothing, paper, cord, sails, fishnet, oil, sealant, incense, food, and in ceremony, relaxation and medicine.
What people did and what they should have done are not the same things.

For so the Lord said unto me, "I will take my rest and I will consider in my dwelling place like a clear heat upon herbs. For afore harvest, when the bud is perfect and the sour grape is ripening in the flower, he shall cut off the sprigs with pruning hooks and take away and cut down the branches." (Isaiah 18:4-5)
That is an instruction to prune, not to smoke.

It was God who created cannabis hemp and told mankind to use "every green herb" on Earth.
To use it "as for meat." Not to smoke it.

The Lord… hath sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and the opening of the prison to them that are bound. (Isaiah 61:1)
Should we free murderers while we're at it?

Remember: Every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused if it be received with thanksgiving…. If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine. (Paul: 1 Timothy 4:4-6)
Again, does this apply to murderers, too?

I could go on and on, but is it really worth it?
It hasn't been worth it for the last 5,000 words or so.

You see, we all have preconceived notions/beliefs through whichever system we have been instructed. Yet w/out the facts/evidence/research, can we honestly say we know all?
Now you're speaking in lists/catalogs/tabulations, but saying nothing/bupkis/zip.

Before we are quick to judge, let's take time to truly absorb ALL there is to absorb before pointing fingers at anyone.
You seem pretty quick to point your finger at us, you hypocrite.

Lastly, regarding this topic, there is use and abuse. Water can actually be excessively abused to the point of death.
Does that apply to, say, arsenic?

Everything that has value still needs to follow the rule of moderation.
Too bad you didn't apply the rule of moderation to the length of your post.

Thanks for reading my book (ha, ha) and God bless you all!

Don't worry Sister Jenny, daveman's rant probably only makes sense to people who have smoked too much reefer (I couldn't follow it myself). As for cannabis and Christians, remember 1 Corinthians 5:11

But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.

I believe that 'a drunkard' in this verse means anyone intoxicated on something other than the Holy Spirit.
