The mere fact that you are unable to understand it doesn't mean it isn't possible. Also, there is quite a difference between your grandmother and Jesus to say the least...

Not THOSE plates, tectonic plates, under the earths crust. They cause many "things", which includes volcanoes, and earthquakes, and they account for some formations, like ridges, mountains, and faults. geez, my geography teachers would be proud...I actually remember this stuff

If you want to say that God moves the plates and decides where they're going to move, I can see that.

    OK, let's examine this theory.

The Earth is made of PLATES.

PLATES cause earthquakes, volcanoes, and, worst of all, THINGS!

I suggest we start eating off the floor, since plates cause THINGS.

If your theory of Plates is correct, I suspect that it's actually the MINING of plates that causes all these problems . . . after all, God certainly didn't create the planet to have unpredictable disasters. They only occur when HE decides!

The fact that they cannot prove their claims automatically makes all of what is inside the Bible rock-hard fact.

Well now there IS some debate on that point Brother BJ. Some of the boys at the Landover Baptist University Creation Science Department are claiming that God might have created the earth as much as 10,000 years ago.

    Kids these days.

    Praise© (Pastor) Brother V.
This is the reason you are a Senior Pastor of our Church.
We have our Black & White proof in The Holy Bible(KJV1611). Scientists only have their "theories"
I certainly don't see any so-called Scientists being made a Pastor of our Church!

    started a topic Interesting reading

    Interesting reading

So while reading up on "biogenic" oil theory, I continued clicking through links on wikipedia, and am currently reading about "ice ages". Not that silly animated movie, but about actual Ice Ages.

ScIeNtists claim we are currently in an ice age. (fyi)

But while reading about vulcanism (nothing to do with spock, but about volcanos) I came across this paragraph.

    wiki-paedo-ia

But 70% of Earth's surface is covered by sea, and the theory of plate tectonics predicts that all of the Earth's oceanic crust is completely replaced about every 200 million years. Hence it is impossible to find evidence of submarine flood basalts or other extremely large undersea volcanic events more than 200 million years old, and evidence of more recent extremely large undersea volcanic events may already have been erased. In other words, our failure to find evidence of other extremely large volcanic events does not prove that they did not happen.
    Read it closely...

    Now, read it again...

Plate tectonics is their theory that the earth is made up of plates, that are remade apparently every 200 millions years. Yet they have no proof of this...

BUT, the biggest part of that paragraph is the last statement.

In other words, our failure to find evidence of other extremely large volcanic events does not prove that they did not happen.
They BELIEVE that this happened, yet, they have absolutely NO PROOF.

It's only when they claim that lack of evidence for GOD, proves their is no God.
