Does merely claiming to be a Christian make one a Christian?

Matt 7:21-23 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Because conservapedia is run by decent human beings as opposed to evil liberals like those clowns from Encyclopedia Britannica:

    http://www.conservapedia.com/Liberal

A liberal (also leftist) is someone who rejects logical and biblical standards, often for self-centered reasons. There are no coherent liberal standards; often a liberal is merely someone who craves attention, and who uses many words to say nothing. Liberalism began as a movement for individual liberties, but today is increasingly statist, and in Europe even socialistic.

well I guess a theory could be described as a well informed hypothesis

    Thanks for sharing this, BigJay.

As you can see, even WickedPedia says that the biogenic theory is "preferred" by "most" petroleum geologists.

Do you know what a theory is, BigJay?

Carbon is present in any organic life form past or present.Including The diamond .Diamond's are created when extreme pressure and heat are applied to carbon like coal as an example. We know that man has the ability to create a diamond from coal. And it surly can be dated
Only if it was created within the last 50,000 years.

Tell me, if man can make a diamond from coal in a laboratory in a couple of days, why do you believe that they take "millions of years" to be formed in the earth?
Organic material can be pulled from sedimentary rock IE limestone and can be subject to carbon dating.Bones, fossils and petrified wood all contain carbon and can be dated .
Only if they are less than about 50,000 years old. Which you say they are not, you say they are "millions of years" old.

Do you not have any belief in the field of science ,or do you simply rely on the writings contained in the Bible ?
You are ignorant of both the Bible and the "science" you claim to espouse.
If you wish to maintain that the earth is 6000 years old and change how do you explain the existance of OIL ? Is it not known that it comes from decayed plant and animal remains ?
This has already been answered by Pastor Billy-Reuben AND JennyD.
Or that Ice in the polar ice cap has been dated much older than 6000 years old. How about the fact that the last Ice age was some 10,000 years ago.
How exactly do you prove that? Because some book told you so?

Oh, I bet you have eyewitness accounts, right?

I suggest you look up "abiogenic oil".

Here's an article for you on the subject. In part:

An intriguing theory now permeating oil company research staffs suggests that crude oil may actually be a natural inorganic product, not a stepchild of unfathomable time and organic degradation. The theory suggests there may be huge, yet-to-be-discovered reserves of oil at depths that dwarf current world estimates.

The theory is simple: Crude oil forms as a natural inorganic process which occurs between the mantle and the crust, somewhere between 5 and 20 miles deep. The proposed mechanism is as follows:
    •
Methane (CH4) is a common molecule found in quantity throughout our solar system – huge concentrations exist at great depth in the Earth.

At the mantle-crust interface, roughly 20,000 feet beneath the surface, rapidly rising streams of compressed methane-based gasses hit pockets of high temperature causing the condensation of heavier hydrocarbons. The product of this condensation is commonly known as crude oil.

Some compressed methane-based gasses migrate into pockets and reservoirs we extract as "natural gas."

In the geologically "cooler," more tectonically stable regions around the globe, the crude oil pools into reservoirs.

In the "hotter," more volcanic and tectonically active areas, the oil and natural gas continue to condense and eventually to oxidize, producing carbon dioxide and steam, which exits from active volcanoes.

Periodically, depending on variations of geology and Earth movement, oil seeps to the surface in quantity, creating the vast oil-sand deposits of Canada and Venezuela, or the continual seeps found beneath the Gulf of Mexico and Uzbekistan.
    • Periodically, depending on variations of geology, the vast, deep pools of oil break free and replenish existing known reserves of oil.
