The Bible doesn't specify races that may be held as slaves. You may purchase anyone who is not a True Christian™ who is available for sale; captives from war, for example.

Of course, slaves are not inexpensive. Before the Civil War, slaveowners paid the equivalent of about $40,000 for a healthy Negro buck, all so they could have someone to load in the coal.

If you will notice negro hands are very similar to monkey hands. They are well suited for doing such intricate tasks such as picking cotton, peeling bananas, organ grinding and shining shoes.
