What that man was talking about is the elements (different atoms) that make up our body were formed inside of stars. Hydrogen is the most basic and common element in the Universe and is very very abundent. When a lot of hydrogen comes together in space, its gravity squishes it all together and when the pressure in the middle gets sufficient, nuclear fusion begins (which is what makes the star shine). Now the joining of atoms creates other atoms like helium and lithium and so on. (for example, hydrogen is one proton, one electron. when two hydrogens combine it makes helium which has two protons, two electrons, etc.)
So in the middle of a star is all of this intense heat and pressure, atoms are being formed and then one day the fuel that runs this nuclear fusion runs out and the star collapses, creating tons of pressure causing it to explode and shoot its matter (elements) out into space. That dust then eventually combines again to make another star and so on. Sometimes that dust around the star will form into big rocks that are called planets. On that planet life can eventually arise, like us.
That is where all of the elements in your body come from (like the iron in your blood)
This is currently the scientific belief according to the Big Bang.
(I'm not saying i believe in this stuff, just trying to expand a little of what that man was saying so y'all would have the complete understanding of him)
