    Questioning religion

I'm not here to make people angry, but you seem to be ranting on evolution a lot.

true, evolution is just a theory and you don't have to believe anything you don't want to believe, but isn't creationism just a theory too?

i mean, you use the bible as proof and fact, but isn't it just a religious text, just like all the others?

look at how many there are. how can you be absolutely sure this is the one and only good religion?

You ask a lot of questions -- first about evolution, then about creationism and finally about the superior nature of True Christianity™. I suspect you're looking for "man's" wisdom and despise the nudgings of your heart, which are only God's own yanking on your heart strings. We've seen your kind before.

What I want you to do is to get out your KJV1611 and read along with me from John 1:1-5:
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made. In Him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
If that doesn't answer all your questions, then I don't know what will.

i don't think you understand me, because you're trying to convince me there exists an omnipotent being by quoting scripture from a book most people are convinced is written by man and since man is flawed, he could be lying, couldn't he?

If you want good answers, you must be honest about your intentions.

Why did you come to a Christian forum? Do you need that extra little push to surrender to God? We will gladly help.

Browse through the forum and you will find various threads explaining exactly why the KJV 1611 Bible is correct and why God exists. But ultimately, you have to make that phone call to God.

Be wary of false Kumbaya Christians who use a highlighter and scissors to read the Bible. God wants us to read the lines, not between the lines. False Christians will go to Hell:
        Matthew 7:22
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Asking a Christian to prove God exists is like asking him to prove his phone rings because yours doesn't. Make that call yourself! Dial 0800-get-on-your-knees-and-pray.

Well said, Brother GOD=life. I think what we're dealing with is someone who's more interested in a false debate than an honest surrender to God.

All you really have to do is ask...

Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
Matthew 7:8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

You are correct in that there are many religious texts. However, what makes the KJV 1611 different from the rest is that is is the True Word of God. What more proof does anyone need than that? Atheist, monkey-worshiping scientists have evaded this question for years...

I think you would find our False Religions Register very helpful. It may clarify any misunderstandings you have about the legitimacy of other "religions".
