I hold no pride or boast in any of my messages. All I do is continue to back the word of god. It is the Pride of many of the members on this site that is preventing them to see what is clearly (or in this case clearly NOT) stated within scripture.

I even quoted scripture in my last post and brother James has sent me a message saying it is simply 'yippity yap yap.' Im sorry that you believe scripture to be yippity yap yap. You have disappointed me greatly.

In all my posts all I have ever done is express admiration and love for god and the members of this community while also trying my hardest to help another member's ill viewed opinions yet still I am shunned.

I have spoken with my local Baptist Pastor regarding this and have given him the link to this site and he too was deeply saddened about the news. Should he join the site and wish to speak I hope that you are able to show another Pastor the kind of respect that I showed the rest of you, but failed to receive in return.

'Back the Word of God"??? For starters, you always use a capital letter out of respect, honor and expression of humility when referring to Him.
Secondly, I was completely unaware that God needed backup. He is not Frank Cannon or Mannix. God is always first through the door of a heathen, passion blazing.
Finally, your crying need not be to us but to Him as part of a pleading not to spend all of your eternity in the depths of Hell, having your rectum spread wide and your anus pulled inside out for the joy of Satan's minions.

Why do you think Mr. Hutchins is joking when you objectively contribute nothing more than babble to our forum? This is a serious forum. If you want some place to go to hear yourself talk, you should start a blog. If you'd like to join us in praising the LORD, you would be a happier person.

my apologies for the double post as it seems I cannot edit my last post, but yes, apparently God does need backup. Is this not what the entire thread was built on? Brother Alex was posting proof to scientifically backup the scripture. If i am at fault for backing up the scripture then he is just as much at fault. This thread should not exist if thats the case.

After discovering that there is speculation concerning the shape of the earth, I decided to do some brief research and consider carefully the arguments of both sides. I fully examined your evidence; please fully examine mine.

First, I examined the Biblical references that indicate a flat earth, and examined the photographic evidence offered on the thread in support of this premise.
Revelation 7:1:
And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.

While the Bible does clearly say "the four corners of the earth," we should not necessarily interpret this as a literal description for the following reason:

Just as it is impossible for any person to remove his or her personality from a paper, thread, speech, or any other form of communication, it is impossible for a man of God to completely remove himself from a sermon. His thoughts, motivations, upbringing, and any number of influential factors come in to play when he is conveying the message that God laid on his heart and his mind. No two sermons on the same subject sound exactly the same and are never worded exactly the same, no matter how well he attempts to channel God's message, except for the portions of them that are removed directly from Scripture or any other reputable source. In much the same way, the author of this verse cannot remove himself entirely from its composition. Today, the expression "from the four corners of the earth" is taken to mean "from very far away" or "from all different places around the world." The four corners of the earth in this passage may just refer to the angels standing at a great distance from one another, or perhaps this is the only adequate description that the person having this vision could use to describe what he witnessed.

In regards to the photographic evidence, they are enhanced using excellent visual editing tools, probably Photoshop. No photos such as these exist in any encyclopedias, "National Geographic" articles, text books, or any other verified reputable sources. If these places existed, the photos would be in plain site where there could be no confusion about their existence and what that existence implies. Most Christians would jump at the chance to share evidence that their scripture literally refers to the shape of the earth and grab their cameras to take snapshots without hesitation.

Also, we have been to space, and have seen the round earth.

We don't even have to go into space to witness the curvature of the earth. These images are taken with a camera in a high-altitude weather balloon from about 100,000ft above the earth into the upper atmosphere.

Though some of the text in this link is derogatory towards the Flat Earth belief, if you can muddle through the insulting bits, there is actually some very clearly worded and logical evidence comparing our observations with simple models of the planet.

Really what I am trying to say here is that the earth being round and the Bible being true are not mutually exclusive concepts. They can (and do, as far as I can tell) exist together without discrediting one or the other. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

A spherical earth cannot have corners, it is scientifically impossible. The only logical explanation is that the earth is flat. Checkmate atheists!

Oh boy... OK first off, just one question, is this a real site?

second, while most of this may have been accepted in the 1400's, you guys are going to have a hard time convincing people of this... Being that we don't fall off the earth or see any floating diamond in space. Most of this is just speculation( AKA guessing) and is kind of disproved (AKA uh is shown to be not a fact) by the fact that most telescopes (made by in the 1608 Hans Lippershey and Zacharias Janssen) today are powerful enough to see Jupiter at least and those are the ones you can buy at wal-mart. Just as a side note, not all stars in the sky are silvery, some are blue yellow and red (though you might not see them the same because I might just have really good vision). Building on those before me, your probably already saying blastfimur (did I spell that right?) but bare with me you've seen nothing yet, we can say for sure that they are not diamonds because diamond refract light and not reflect it. (sigh) most that probably went over you head, if it didn't than congrats, but I'm trying my best here. through these tests, astronomers( guys who get payed to look through a telescope and have graduated from schools like Harvard or Yale and are really, REALLY good at math) can determine the size of planet/stars and how far away they are. At this point I'm probably already banned but what the... right sorry... Next up on my agenda is that the sun is not made of coal. Even if you believe that the earth is only 7,000 years old( I just want you your opinion on the fossil record and radiometric dating (sigh...right) judging how old something is by the... radiation it gives off) coal of any size would not burn that long, especially since there is no enough oxygen in space( go out there and try to inhale I dare you, you would have have 10 seconds of conciseness (proven fact)). Lastly is that we are not the center of the universe. Now I have no way of convincing you about this because it would take to long and my fingers are getting tiered so watch a discovery program or something.

Now before you say That I am ripping on your... ummm how to say this respectfully... deity??... I didn't say any thing about him. I'm just stating facts from: school, TV, Internet, real scientists, and history. This leaves the rest up to you. go out there crack a textbook or something and try to keep an open mind. Ask these scientist directly about their opinion and see what others know. While ignorance is bliss, it can be fatal.
