I get what you are saying, its not possible to travel in a circle and end at the same point you started at if the world is not a big ball.
I guess the fact that this very morning I wanted fresh doughnuts as I approached the Freehold roundabout I stopped. Looked to my left entered and went approximately 3/4 around and exited on 4th st. Stopped and picked up the doughnuts. Re Entered the roundabout and excited on 1st av. The only problem is Freehold is not a big ball, in fact other than John the Baptist Hill its rather flat. Just like the earth. So there you have it,I drove around Freehold, its flat and I did not fall off.

If it were flat you would fall off! If it were circular, to get back to the same point you would have to be contiunually turning so as not to fall off, which you don't!
