So how does that prove light? That is just God's way of punishing you because of your thoughts of making the sun a false idol.

And who were the Egyptian gods? Well there is Aten.




Then there was Ra.




Then there is Osiris.



And Horus



And Thoth.



And even more. And we haven't even started talking about the false Canaanite sun gods either. Temptation surrounded humans. Is it no wonder that God tries to help mankind overcome that particular temptation by causing pain by starring at the sun?

But the underlying question seems to be misinformed.

Rather than "Does the Sun even emit light?", it should be "What is the sun and where does light come from?".

The secular sceince belief is that the sun is a thing, but really it's just the light provided by God Himself.
