Even a child can tell you that water either soaks into the ground, disappears or runs in rivers that start from fountains and springs in the hills. You can see it happening if you just take your head out of science books and experience the world God gave you with open eyes.
John 4:10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
Numbers 21:16 And from thence they went to Beer: that is the well whereof the LORD spake unto Moses, Gather the people together, and I will give them water.

I think you could also make a similar argument with oxygen. If humans existed for billions of years like the Darwinists, claim, we would've ran out of air too!
And yet if you try bringing this up to a biology professor, he just laughs at your face. Believe me, it's happened more than once.

Every time it rains and snows there would be sweat and urine falling from the sky. The entire earth would be a giant cesspool of sweat and urine – we would be making our coffee from fresh urine from our faucets and bathing in sweat and urine. Well, logically you have to go with the Bible (KJV1611) on this one.
I don't mean to be rude, but piss off Atheists.

Originally posted by HeavenThroughChrist View PostI think the post was meant to prove atheism wrong, and I'm glad it was posted. Atheism is false, and people are just running away from the fact the God is real.
We don't need the Bible to tell us God is real. Look around you: the trees, the water, the sky, all these are proofs that God left behind for us.
God made the water cycle, and He doesn't need to show himself to let us know He's maintaining it.
You know, I don't even think it needs its maintenance. Take the sealed bottle garden for example. It is a garden in a bottle, sealed tightly, and only watered once, and it survives on its own water cycle (google it).
I think that's what God also did. He only made us once, so that means (like the bottled garden, metaphorically speaking) He watered us once, giving us what we needed to survive on our own.
Thank God, and I hope atheists can find their way to Him.
P.S., to be honest, what confused me the most in the first post is that the Bible said, "the world is 6000 years old."
I don't think so. I am a young Christian, and yes, I do read the Bible. But I've never stumbled upon the world's age. Anyone?
You're not suggesting that the Bible is wrong or inconsistent about the historicity of our sweet Lord, are you friend? Many people have taken such an erroneous position on our forums to justify barbarous acts of sodomy and even mixed fiber wearing. I'm not saying you are doing that, but it happens.

Originally posted by Basilissa View PostI know what you mean. These are cherry-picking Christians, who chose which parts of the Bible to accept, and which not to accept. There is, however, a serious flaw in their logic. To be a Christian means to accept the Bible as true - all of it. You cannot just chose some selected passages that support your world view, while creatively interpreting others and rejecting the rest. You either accept the entire Bible as the Word of God or you don't. Hence, these people who say that evolution is the way how God created life etc, they are NOT real Christians.

Have you not yet learned to be skeptical just because you hear something from a trusted person?
The idea that a person can be both a Christian and a secular scientist (that is what you are talking about, after all), is no more to the point than saying a priest can be a catholic and pedophile. In other words, who cares what two incongruent beliefs one person holds? In what way does that speak to the credibility of the belief?
The reality is, one either trusts God's Word to be true and free from error, or does not. There is no middle ground.
He said something about loving God, and I fell asleep because his talk was too boring.
Well then, looks like I have some upcoming research to do!

Yes. My point is that we are all technically drinking cleaned-up dinosaur pee. No side-effects whatsoever, so why not? Still better than not drinking anything at all.

Since the waste treatment happens in man made facilities, and we both agree that there were no such facilities when dinosaurs were on earth (whether that would be 65 million or a few thousand years ago), your point is - that we are drinking dinosaurs pee

I would just like to say that water is recycled. Where there were not any water treatment facilities back when there were dinosaurs, there are water treatment facilities now that treat the water that we use.My main point is actually in my first post in this thread: water is not used-up. It's recycled back into nature, where we then use it again. Water does not simply 'disappear'.

Originally posted by Basilissa View PostActually, most sewage treatment facilities, even in developed countries, are designed to treat only human waste and soap - most water treatment facilities are secondary with nutrient removal. Only a few are advanced tertiary (which involves removal of chemicals such as heavy metals and stuff - and it's very expensive). For your information, that's why you shouldn't throw stuff such as old medicines into the toilet - the secondary waste water treatment facility in your city/town/village isn't designed to handle these chemicals.
I don't want to bore you with technical details, but here is a basic description of these three stages:
Treatment of factory waste and treatment of human waste are two totally different and unrelated things. I am talking here only about human waste treatment.
In fact, I have checked that link earlier. You seem to actually know a lot about actual science as a Christian, don't you? That's a surprising change.
Sorry, but I was never that interested in sewage treatment. Please forgive my ignorance on the subject itself.
