I do not accept ANY religious text as FULL EVIDENCE. In fact you can't or it wouldn't count. Research has to stack up, so what I did was:

Read the BIBLE then the KORAN then CROSS REFERENCE THE TWO. Surely your puny midget-mind can fathom that at least?

The Koran on the other hand, is far more recent as you say - meaning it can be relied upon for base evidence trails only (which is more than can be said for the Bible).

Now the smart thing to do once you have collected all your sources and read them over; is to write up a star board - connecting with lines all the bits and bobs that relate or go together, looking at THE WHOLE THING AFTERWARDS and drawing your conclusions.

One more thing you should know. Is something your church should be good at, which is history. Reading the history books and predicting a curve of trend. Looking to the future of your flock should be a main priority, as looking at the facts:

Ten of thousands of years ago, humans worshipped the sun as their God. They performed rituals with water or mud, sacrificed stuff when they thought that might help. Obviously as they learned more they stopped most of this realising it made no difference at all and was wrong.

So at first people had literally HUNDREDS of Gods

Thousands of years ago before technology and human wisdom increased as it has today, Gods were as common in society as diseases and starvation. They were numerous, nobody had any form of organised religion so each tribe had several Gods, and these Gods could be clustered and did not demand singularity from the others.

Then they killed off their 'Gods' one by one until there were just 3 or 4 left that the law could recognise. Including the God of the Jews (The God of Abraham) father of Jesus Christ etc, or Allah the God of Islam. So now we have about a dozen

Hundreds of years ago we saw a religious war break out, between the 'main' sectors of organised religions: Christianity and some splinter groups, moslems (sunni, shi'ite and independent from the Kurdistan area) and invaders spanning the deserts and plains of the Arab states.

So now after this latest round of warring we have 2 or 3 left just the main players everybody else accepts their once revered Gods were in fact just made up.

SO to conclude:

We went from thousands of years ago and LOADS of Gods, to today where we are modernised and there are only 2 or 3, and nobody ever sees these 'miracles' and such anymore. WHAT IS THE NEXT LOGICAL STEP??
