I think you were "moved" by your own imagination. You imagine God is just like you - values those things you value, abhors those things you abhor. We don't need to pray to your god for wisdom as there is no functional difference between that and asking you for wisdom. No, friend, we go straight to the Word of God, the Holy Bible to know God's Will, and how to truly glorify Him. You will find no True Christian™ cherry picking Bible verses to suit their own personal consciences here. I encourage you to do the same. Read your Bible with open eyes. Read what the words really say, not what you think they mean. Let God speak to you, not your imagination.

They're doing what God commands.
Searching for Him by studying His creation.
Science is a great tool because it allows itself to be corrected.

Sure some science is fine. But when the so called science of evolution contradict Genesis you run into problems. I've yet to so a so called evolutionist to not make the a priori assumption that God is not real in his so called ad hoc theories.
