Friend, I didn't write the Holy Bible. This is the very Word of the LORD. If you read it, you'll find that slavery is something we are all born into. We are born slaves to sin (Romans 3:10), but Christ JESUS Himself has paid the price for our disgusting, repulsive nature! (1 Timothy 2:6)

Friend, I am not sure what tar pits you live in, but where normal people live, they are not stuck to the ground at all (unless they are Homersexuals).
God gently holds us on Earth until Judgement Day when He either lovingly cradles us in His all powerful arms and carries us to Heaven or for you heathens, gives you a sold kick in the ass with His blue steeled toed sandal straight to Hell.

Ok you can live off in your own little fantasy world, accepting myths as truths.
To be honest I wish I could have this conversation with year in 500-1000 years time because at the rate at which technology is advancing, more truths will be uncovered that will further disprove religious ideas. In fact, I can see that in the future, religion will in fact be either dead, or a minority due to the fact that the human civilisation will be so advanced technologically wise that people will see religion as a farce. Just look at the statistics, compare the percentage of Christians in the worlds population, compared to todays. It would be been significantly higher. Im afraid this decline trend will continue to follow into the future

The Bible is just like all other media; it is a reflection of something, but it is not the thing itself. You wouldn't believe that Spiderman is real. Even the evening news is tainted with the personal biases of the agencies that own them

If you don't trust the source why do you believe in God more than Spiderman? Please explain your thought process.

Have you ever stopped and wondered that maybe God didnt want you to take the bible so literal and instead, use it as a guide to live a good/happy/fulfilling life. eg - love thy neighbour, treat others as you wanted to be treated etc.

I think it's really good to question the Bible. It's a sign of personal moral bravery and intelligence.

That said, the Bible can be a great inspirational guide. The question of its authenticity will always be debated in this world, but I don't think it matters.

Take whatever knowledge and wisdom you can from it, but more important gather knowledge from your own life and what is happening to you.

Its open for interpretation, but in a general consensus, the main underlying issues of what God is trying to establish should be used as a guide - eg.10 commandments etc. Of couse not everything in the bible is true of course, even me being a devout christian understands this.
