I have read it. It's hilarious; a great tool to become an atheist. You believe what is in this book because you're foolish, ignorant and scared. There is a distinction to be drawn between those who claim access to the view of truth, therefore, claim to know what happens to after we're dead on the basic of the text, which is nonsensical. If you want to believe it, that's fine, just don't push it down our children throats, and you must not tell me who I'm allowed to go to bed with and who I'm not allowed to go to bed with. It's no acceptable - anyone who tells me what happens after I'm dead is either a liar or a fool because you don't no.

Wouldn't that make god a liar and a prankster? Saying that God created the conditions for life to form is one thing, but saying God is trying to trick us into going to hell with fossils is a little much.

"Prove that God did not place the fossils" is same as saying:
"Prove that there isn't a teapot orbiting Mars" - it does not prove that there is a teapot in Mars orbit, just like your argument does not prove that God exists. The burden of proof is on you.

Also, evolution is true because we have not found any evidence that is contrary to it, e.g. a mammal with six limbs, or an organism with DNA completely different from any other living thing. But creationism cannot be proven because there is no evidence that would be contrary to it.

Finally, if God gave us a ton of evidence for evolution, then sends us to hell for believing it, isn't that a bit mean? It's kinda like a girl who tells a guy "Sure, go hang out with your buddies at a bar, I do not care", and then gets mad at him when he does. A girl like that would be called a passive-aggressive psychopath. How is your "God" different?

If god had put the fossils there to fool us, trick us, condemn and send us to hell, as you suggest, that would be a frigging mormon of a god. Not the one you should be putting your faith one. I certainly wouldn't want to expend eternity in the company of such a mental case, with such tyrannical instincts.

Baraminology isn't science because it relies on very vaguely-defined words (like "kinds"), and blatantly disregards and ignores evidence that disagrees with it. It's point isn't to explain and educate, but to muddy the waters and confuse people to the point where they accept your faith. What a joke, delusional pseudo-science invented by desparate creationists to justify their ludicrous and primitive view of the universe. Please, get yourself some real education while there is still hope for you. The ideas you are being brainwashed by are pathetic. You will not get far in life if you choose to remain ignorant and superstitious and accept lies like this as "correct". Creationists should be ashamed of purveying such rubbish.

There's the matter of inconsistency. The idea that a loving God would trick people is ridiculous. Are you so blind that you can't see the huge disconnect between a God that supposedly loves humanity, but would also plant false evidence that, combined with free will, would lead people to making a logical yet incorrect conclusion that would damn them to unimaginable torment for all eternity? Can you seriously not see that that would be hateful, monstrous thing to do, and would fit any definition of "evil" that one could possibly make?

How do we know evolution happened? Evidence. Mountains and mountains of evidence. If you are willing to put a tiny little bit of effort into researching this then you could see for yourself. Why post this question here and not in the science section where you could get some informative answers? Perhaps your just here to preach and aren't really interested in learning?

A totally unsubstantiated assertion. You assume that people BELIEVE Darwin's tome.That is a book of science. It points us toward research into new areas of knowledge. BELIEF doesn't enter into it, you ignorant scutwater. The 'bible', because it is an unsubstantiated religious claim, implicitly demands BELIEF. If you don't see the difference, you are mentally retarded. The theory of evolution has been proven time and time again to be a fact. Your bible has not. The Bible talks about things no-one can prove.
On The Origin of the Species talks about things that everyone can g out and see for themselves. The Bible tells you to believe in something without evidence. On The Origin of the Species tells you exactly where its evidence is.

Basically:

• The bible is NOT evidence for anything. Because NOTHING in it is backed up by anything other than itself.
  
• The Origin of Species IS backed up by a great deal of evidence. The scientific fact of evolution is backed up by even more.

If the Bible is evidence of God, then the Qur'an is evidence of Allah, and the story of Troy is evidence of Apollo. You cannot say 'it's true because it says it is' - that is ludicrous. It must be proven true by using outside evidence - something Origin is full of, and the Bible is lacking.

No evidence for evolution? Are you that stupid? Scientists look for evidence. The more evidence that were left behind, the more likely they are to figure it out. If all of the evidence points to the same conclusion, then they know what happened.

Consider the case of the origin of species. There are many thousands of evidence, and they all point to the conclusion that life evolved. There are so many evidence that they fall under multiple disciplines of science. Each of these disciplines provides a separate line of evidence for evolution.

Evolution is an observed fact. Natural selection is the theory that *explains* that fact. Because of the evidence that we have gathered over the past decades, Evolution is a fact. In other words, when you understand that the word 'evolution' means 'change in the heritable properties of a population or species ... we can *measure* that change, so evolution is an observed fact. It's okay calling it a theory, but just a theory is incorrect. You need to call it a fact and theory, or fact; either way, but theory isn't sufficient with what we understand from evolution.

There is no positive evidence for the existence of God, however, although he might exist, he no more likely to existence than the Flying Spaghetti Monster. So, why bother believe in something where there is no evidence, in contrast to a large number of evidence for science. I ignore the Holy Bible because there is no sufficient evidence, and a lack of evidence. Science doesn't no for sure how the universe was created (We are not afraid to say), but we are working on it by gaining evidence. By it won't be helped by postulating a supernatural intelligence on it because to postulate that will raise bigger questions than it answers, together with no evidence you have.

Evolution is not "so stupid". I'm guessing you're American. Now apologies to all decent Americans for this generalisation, but the USA is the ONLY country in the civilised world that is seriously debating Evolution. Some are even calling it a theory! This was news 200 years ago. Time to move on, and open your eyes.

Like I've just said, I lost patience but I caught the drift. He may have been a science teacher but does not know how science works. The books he quoted from were very simplistic and the theories he discussed are backed up by evidence that points to their veracity. If a counter-theory was postulated that current data supported, and new experimental evidence re-inforced then the scientific community and subsequently most of the population at large would come round to that way of thinking.

Time was previously thought to be a constant but evidence has suggested that as we go back towards the big bang it slows down and loses all meaning in the conventional sense of the word. Time has been shown to be part of space-time.
