This plant is called Puya chilensis. The evilutionists' favorite source, Wickedpedophile.org, has this to say about it:
The plant is believed to be hazardous to sheep and birds which may become entangled in the spines of the leaves. It has been suggested that if the animal dies the plant may gain nutrients as the animal decomposes nearby.
This shows God's love even for ugly, spiny plants. Since the plant cannot move about to find food, the Creator in His infinite compassion has provided the plant with a way to ensnare sheep and birds, which then starve to death and decay to provide the plant with nutrients. God is good, all the time.

If I'm mistaken, then tell me, step by step, how evilution could have resulted in this plant. Of what use is half of an ability to trap a sheep or bird?
This church is dedicated to preaching True Christianity™ and the King James Bible exactly as they are, with no alterations to make them more politically correct for modern liberals. If you think that we've misquoted or twisted Scripture or quoted any verse out of context, please explain in detail how we've done so. Otherwise, if what you read on this site offends you, then you're offended by Almighty God and His Word, not by us.

Our so excellent Creator is indeed compassionate and I was immediately reminded of the wicked Japanese. Determined to erradicate God they elected a marine biologist to be emperor and yes, he was obsessed with the sea squirt. This wretch starts life as an animal, moves around, eats, avoids obstacles by sensation which would be encountered as pain – we know this already of course from our experiences of walking into walls, posts and red-hot metal (except Pastors) – and Hirohito is the respected authority on this "subject" having made the following observation concerning what happens to animals which turn into plants and therefore digest their own nervous systems so that they no longer enjoy the perception of pain since they couldn't move (having turned into plants) if they wanted to when a boulder lands on what used to be their head and therefore they can't want to move because they can no longer feel pain because they no longer have a nervous system and that's how we know trees don't feel pain; checkmate Darwin:

Yet in His munificence our magnificent Lord provides even for these wretched plants which otherwise must starve.

    yes, He's my Shepherd too
