Louisiana Science Education Act - One for GOD!

According to THIS article, the Godly state of Louisiana has chosen to support GOD in the Science Classroom!

BARBARA FORREST knew the odds were stacked against her. "They had 50 or 60 people in the room," she says. Her opponents included lobbyists, church leaders and a crowd of home-schooled children. "They were wearing stickers, clapping, cheering and standing in the aisles." Those on Forrest's side numbered less than a dozen, including two professors from Louisiana State University, representatives from the Louisiana Association of Educators and campaigners for the continued separation of church and state.

That was on 21 May, when militant atheist Forrest testified in the Louisiana state legislature on the dangers hidden in the state's proposed Science Education Act. She had spent weeks trying to muster opposition to the bill on the grounds that it would allow teachers and school boards across the state to present non-scientific alternatives to evolution, including ideas related to intelligent design (ID) - the proposition that life is too complicated to have arisen without the help of a supernatural agent.

The act is designed to slip ID in "through the back door", says Forrest, who is a professor of philosophy at Southeastern Louisiana University and an expert in the history of creationism. As a lesbian, in tune with the homosexual community, Forrest is quite familiar with how things can be slipped through back doors. She adds that the bill's language, which names evolution along with global warming, the origins of life and human cloning as worthy of "open and objective discussion", is an attempt to misrepresent evolution as scientifically controversial.

Forrest's testimony notwithstanding, the bill was passed by the state's legislature - by a majority of 94 to 3 in the House and by unanimous vote in the Senate. On 28 June, Louisiana's Republican governor, Piyush "Bobby" Jindal, signed the bill into law. The development has national implications, not least because Jindal is rumoured to be on Senator John McCain's shortlist as a potential running mate in his bid for the presidency.

No way will McCain put a Roman Catholic Muslim extremist like Jindal on the ticket, especially one who wrote that all Protestants have depraved minds. Jindal may have voted with the good guys, but he's a total nutjob, and quite possibly the Antichrist. Don't let his progressive stand on intelligent design fool you.

Then again, people can be useful in this life although damned in the next, especially in the worlds of politics and government. Just consider how well the death-cookie-munchers on the U.S. Supreme Court have served our Divinely hand-picked President or how the cultists who wear magic undies and aspire to rule their own planets consistently and ardently support God's Own Party.
This church is dedicated to preaching True Christianity™ and the King James Bible exactly as they are, with no alterations to make them more politically correct for modern liberals. If you think that we've misquoted or twisted Scripture or quoted any verse out of context, please explain in detail how we've done so. We really need to get evolution from schools. Kids taught this "theory" will be permanently brainwashed and unable to believe the truth.

I'm thinking of starting a campaign in my home town to put a minimum age on books that contain "darwin-like" theories. That way kids can't get a hold of this dangerous material. Anyone have any suggestions for how to get started?

This calls for some in-depth research. I suppose I'll have to drop by the adult video store on my way home from work.
Acts 13:8 And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?

              Interesting idea.

I have to ask, why is it that you, presenting a rather Godly idea, have chosen to name yourself after a convicted and executed Hellbound sodomite?

It is not my given name, my mother named me a biblical name of course, , to suggest otherwise would sully her good name. The name I have chosen is used to cause the sinners on this site to look at what they will soon face. Do you want to be speaking so badly of a fellow christian when jesus returns?

Pal, you're about as Christian as my dog. No one who knows anything about Oscar Wilde would use such a vile moniker.

Thank "the gods"? You are thrilled that you were taught secular "science" instead of God's Truth, so that you can follow the secular path into ridiculous superstition, believing in multiple false "gods"?

I bet you carry a rabbit's foot for good luck, don't walk under ladders, conduct made-up "rituals" to please your made-up "gods", and toss spilled salt over your shoulder. Am I right?

The Creation is Truth. They should teach Truth, not silly stories. Why would they teach some made-up story about giant tortoises?

A good idea in principle, but I don't see any reason why adults should be able to get hold of this dangerous material either. There's no age limit on anthrax, which is basically pretty similar to evilutionist textbooks.

                              It doesn't scare us, but:
1 Thessalonians 5:22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.
You don't seem to be very good at that.
Aren't we who are protected by the blood of christ immune from harm? I know I will only be hurt if He will it.
No, we're not immune from harm. I've been born again in Christ, but if I put my face through a window or got on a plane with muslims on it I'd still end up suffering quite a considerable degree of discomfort. Job was a loyal servant of God, remember.
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.

God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.
