Then why do you believe Christ to be only about compassion, when He will return to destroy nations and slaughter billions?

I have, and to me its a very inspiring book.
Try to look it from my side:
My parents had a bad experience with Christianity, and thus they became very against it.
All my friends are anti-Christians, and whatever they say:
    I am not... why?
Because I'm open-minded and do care what Christians have to tell.

It would not feel right to cast out anyone, and it would definitely not make me think more positive about Christianity.
I experience Christ only to be compassionate.

I'm actually, really happy with real questions.

To me, a good Christian is someone with morality, and someone who is respecting others not matter what, knowing they can change if they are sinful.
Morality comes from God, friend. It's in the Bible; He tells us what is right and wrong. So, I agree; a good Christian follows GOD'S morals.

The Bible does not tell us to respect others no matter what; in fact, it tells us to cast out anyone who chooses to spit in His face by not following Him. Therefore, I must take issue with your second point.

    As it is written:

    2 John 1:9-11

9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:

11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
    Again:

    2 Corinthians 6:14
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
God, in fact, calls unbelievers fools, and says they do abominable things. Does that sound respectful, friend?
    Psalm 14:1
The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

What is a "good Christian" to you?

Aaaargh, there are some twisted minds on this topic

I got some comments on the following words, sorry not in order though:

"Goths in my neighborhood: (What should I do?)"
    Wait until your dead!?
Gosh what is it with you guys, Gothics are really evil they will stare you to death!
Goth is a way of life, it does NOT manipulate a humans' morality!
Now I must say: I am not a Goth, but I have both Gothic friends AND Christian friends, but I can imagine that in America living normally among each others won't do.

    "
Hmm, I haven't seen that one before. No idea what it means. It looks like the symbol for woman intersected by the cross. Maybe the goth-tards are trying to say Jesus was a woman? Wouldn't put it past them. Or maybe it's Mary worshippers. Not really sure. Pretty sure it's evil though."
Evil? Killing others is evil, thats just paint.
And try respecting other people, disrespect is evil, not being different.

"That's a very compassionate message, Brother Brasil. We know that these ignorant ones are angry because they lack the love of the Lord; that's why they're here. We can only hope that they learn the truth."
What truth? Love is love, anger is anger, I can love, so can the lord.

    "
It looks like a gunsight to me. Probably still goths, gloating about their record of shooting up schools."
Any holy war is useless, don't come with records.
Mind you, I know more loving, respecting Goths than Christians.

"Jesus hates gnostics. Almost as much as He hates absurdists."
How dare you speak about Jesus like that? He was a great guy and sure was a lot smarter than you are!

"As a good christian I can only tell you, get an exorcis. Goths are evil creaturs that are possessed by satan, just look the way they dress... Everything thats not as ordinary as us christians, should be brainwashed or thrown into a jail."
That I actually comment to this.
Goths are humans with their own lifestyle, and don't have to worship Satan.
And you fools can't look at a thing in a neutral objective way.
What may be ordinary to you, may very well be crazy to others.
And come on, brainwashed and thrown to jail?
    Wash your mouth!

Really... you guys really give a bad image to good Christians, and good people in general!
It is your kind of people who are worth less, for society!

You seem to be a very angry young man. I apologize if I haven't treated you respectfully enough. I hadn't thought about how I would feel if I were in your situation: raised in ignorance of the love of Christ, finding yourself blown across the world like a fallen leaf until you die, unaware of any greater meaning or purpose.

I believe you mentioned that you live in Europe. Whereabouts? English can be a very difficult language to learn, and I admire your level of expertise.

Why are you so angry? What are you rebelling against? You might find that some of us are angry about the same things. There is a frequent poster to this forum, a well-spoken man of God who has a way with young men, who lives in Eastern Europe. Depending on your whereabouts, could I arrange for the two of you to meet for a cup of coffee sometime?

No, I think this is probably the work of radical leftists.

    paranoid much?
Would you like to reference your sources, or are you just guessing and acting like a typical troll. Perhaps you have a civil engineering degree?

Since you know so much, I suppose those crop circles are just "construction symbols" too.
