No, the Bible specifically forbids woman pastors.

I'm simply a member of the church, catching up on some bulletin readings after the kids are in bed.

As for not being able to "understand". What is there to understand? The Bible says what it means and means what it says.

So no, our church doesn't go for this "what it really means is..." garbage. God is quite capable of making his word accessible for anyone with a basic grasp of the English language.

Really, it's only on page 2 or 3, you don't have to go that much further in.
