Should we pray for Father Sylvester to be saved?

Given the geographical accident of my birth, I am cursed by having to rise from my sleep 6 hours before the good and righteous people of Freehold, Iowa.

However, I have vowed to use this time wisely and to look out for any dangers or opportunities that may await the True Christians of the Landover Baptist Church, while I await their teachings and guidance.

Today, I have found something which has me greatly confused and somewhat insecure.

The obviously pagan mayor of Nova Zagora in Bulgaria has been caught sprinkling 110lbs of sugar on all the roads into the town in order to banish evil omens and stop accidents.

Father Sylvester from a nearby village, although not a True Christian himself like the wonderful Pastors and blessed posters on this forum, has acted in a most righteous manner and roundly attacked this pagan witchcraft and warned of the resulting threat to the town's harvest. Praise be!

As I am as yet, unsaved, I would not assume to pontificate on this matter, so I merely pose this question to those of you who are more enlightened; could this Eastern European False Christian, who seems to have shown some godly potential, be saved by our (mostly your) prayer?

Genesis 28:14 And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.

    What sorcery is this?
Numbers 10:9 And if ye go to war in your land against the enemy that oppresseth you, then ye shall blow an alarm with the trumpets; and ye shall be remembered before the LORD your God, and ye shall be saved from your enemies.

    Mr. Glass,

May I congratulate you on your compassion towards these Slavic sinners. Certainly, I'll allocate a couple of hours of my daily prayers for this person. I would also like to add that the main problem with these Buggerian pagans is not the sorcery per se but their total ignorance regarding the most basic and simple issues about True Faith™. THERE ARE NO ACCIDENTS!

Jesus knows everything and designs everything. If He wants to smite sinners or just perform some wanton carnage on our freeways, it is absolutely His right to do so and it is blasphemy to try to intervene in His Master Plan. It is always for the Greater Good and we'll eventually understand His motivations to cause bloodshed in the traffic once we reach Heaven.

    Romans 11:33
O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable [are] his judgments, and his ways past finding out!

    Hebrews 4:13
Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things [are] naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

In addition, I have high hopes that this Slavonic Sylvester will contact Mr. Putin - one of the closest friends of Jesus on Earth - and receive some good advice on Godly manners.

If Jesus wants to take the hand of a driver and steer the car into oblivion, He has His reasons. We accept them. Glory!

    Yours in Christ,

    Elmer

Your vigilance against evil and corruption of Spiritual Matters is admirable. I note in the article the mayor says, "We just want people here and throughout Bulgaria to be more sensible and to drive carefully." I find it enormously funny that he would think there would ever be a connection between sugar and safe driving! How does that work exactly? Do the sugar molecules make the air molecule vibrate in such a way as to repel to automobiles so they don't crash? That's retarded thinking!

Of course what they need is to read the Holy Bible and understand how the laws of physics heed the Voice of God. The entire universe was created in only six days. A God who is capable of creating days and nights before the creation of the sun used to separate day from night can certainly create streets that prevent accidents. Sprinkling table foods on the street won't do anything, lol!

Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! We have to remember Mayors are the smartest of all politicians and have the toughest of political jobs.

I haven't met this particular Mayor, but I am going to search him out at the next International Association of Mayors. I'm quite sure I know what he will tell me.

He will say his is a devout Christian, but there are a lot of Pagans in Bulgaria. So, he has to make accommodations. He also knows that reducing the speed limit and putting up more stop signs would stop the traffic deaths. But, people don't want that.

His only option is to sprinkle sugar and privately pray the deaths will stop.
