I disagree, religon, when not used in extreme, is ment to bring interpeace, and bring you to God.

Yes, they are meant to do that, but we (the human race) evidently cannot keep to that ideal.

I'm not jealous, I'm glad that i don't need to feel guilty in dissobeying some outdated rules, I'd rather just use common sense and a concience.

"Religion" is irrelevant. We are not interested in fantastical beliefs about the world resting on a giant tortoise, or a wild crew of made-up "gods and goddesses" who rule different aspects of the universe, or a bizarre, horned "lord and lady" like the Wiccans created.

We are servants of the One True Three-Faced God - Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. He created the universe, and even created YOU! He wants YOU to join Him in Heaven after you die, but only if you follow ALL of His Laws.

Can't you do that little favor for the One who created you?

Well now, haven't you seen the Southpark episode? If the world converts to atheism, then in 500 years, a great war will be raged between the Unified Atheist League, the United Atheist Alliance, and the Allied Atheist Alleigance (who also happen to be super-intelligent Sea Otters). The AAA claims that the world shall fall to them and humankind shall be exterminated, "for they [humans] are an illogical race that doesn't eat off their tummies."

It would bring chaos to the world, man! Utter Sea Otter chaos! Atheists and Sea Otters . . . madness.

Who created them? If you say that your grandparents did, who created them, and so on all the way back? Everything has to have a cause; ultimately that cause goes back to the eternally existent God.

Maybe i should rephrase it to every religion and faith is false.

I have all the love and care and everything else i need but do not believe in god.

I think Holy wars are easily enough evidence to support the claim that religions and faiths have had a bad effect on society, and then there're all the attacks on others becasue of religion and faith.

It would be ok if you were open minded enough to accept what others believe and not force you're opinions on them.

Of course then, your argument begets the question whether or not there is a scientific basis to deny the possibility of 'ascended' beings; that is, sentient being existing as purely energy, without any physical form or mass so to speak.

To my knowledge, such is not--by out understanding of scientific laws--an impossibility. Ergo, what would prevent such a being from posing as a god, and what is a god but a being of higher powers than humans?

Is it, then, such a stretch to say that a being as this I have described might not have created some of our ancient or older religions in one hope or another, perhaps even later realising that interference in lower planes of existence led to nothing but complications? That beings of a certain level are best left to their own problems without interference of those with greater power?

It is impossible for there to be evidence for the nonexistence of something, only the lack of evidence for its existence.
