Here is a Book to be Banned

I can't imagine a book more harmful to True Christianity™ than one, written by fake Christian women, encouraging wives to enjoy sex. Such a book is now being peddled on Christian sites.

Every legitimate preacher should scold his congregation for even considering such a book. We True Christians™ know the correct role of sex in marriage. We know the correct role of women in marriage. We don't need some selfish female authors talking up lust.

Women need to be reminded they are still under a cloud of suspicion because of the Original Sin. Eve had her fun. Women today must pay.

Here is the book to be burned at first opportunity:

Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

Oh, that is just one of the most terrible things that I can imagine, dear Brother Mayor Hold. What on Earth has possessed those women, to think that they have the right to peddle private matters like this? This permissive society has been getting away with far too much, and that's the problem! People nowadays seem to think that they can bring their bedroom secrets out onto Main Street, ; when, in fact, those personal affairs ought to be staying deep within the confines of their hearts.

Kindly send me any and all such books, dear Mayor, and I shall ensure that these are added to the pile for the next book-burning ceremony. I'm working with a few churches in the area on this, and your contribution will be most welcome. Decency prevails!

1 John 2:16 "For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world."

Instead of allowing all books and then removing particularly offensive ones when people complain, public libraries should just institute the policy used in the Lukes household. ALL books except the KJV 1611 Bible are banned. Exceptions are made for individual titles upon request, and after vetting to make sure the author and content are suitably Christian and conservative, that book will be allowed.
I was sinking deep in sin far from the peaceful shore,
      Very deeply stained within, sinking to rise no more;
But the Master of the Sea heard my despairing cry,
From the waters lifted me, now safe am I!

You know, Mr Mayor, feminism is about 1 thing and 1 thing only. Le$bian sex, *ral sex, #nal sex, it doesn't matter. Just look online or in art shops, it's all on display.
If I have seen further, it is by standing on the heads of others.

That's a good point. Not all books have words. Some are just full page sized artworks, Rembrandt, van Gogh, Picasso etc.

But I'd like to mention in particular coffee table editions of Gustav Klimt's atrocious body of work, very much in keeping with the book of words mentioned in OP. His early style was ominous; smoldering ideas lurked in brooding clouds, sometimes described as "figurative art" perhaps but moving right along to his later stuff (most of it) and the innuendo is obvious. Indeed it's hardly "innuendo" at all. Just the sort of thing to have lying around on tables where that other title is likely to be found.

A sure sign. When checking out candidates for baptism, anything by Klimt in the home is something the deacons would be looking out for and something no Church member would even accept as a gift. Someone gave me a set of bone china coffee mugs with fancy art prints all gold and spangly: "The camel's nose," I thought having heard Pastor's sermon on that topic —— straight in the bin.

Sister Mitza-- I can hardly look at such porn. Thanks to God our women like yourself here at Landover Baptist are leaders turning back the current sex-as-pleasure sin infesting the rest of the world.

Re: Here is a Book to be Banned

Satan is very busy in these last days. The one on the left is Hygieia, false goddess of health and the other one, Jungfrau, are two I happened to know the names of (their being on the coffee mugs reminded me) but I really can't recommend a general search. Perhaps in your official capacity it would be as well to know the way this wretch coopts innocuous themes—Goldfish, for example—to his purpose but I won't be naming any others. And Rodin. Can you imagine what it must have been like living in his compound?

The dreadful goddess, though – I chose her because of your original post. The idea implicit in the book title is that health and efficiency for dynamic living revolves around satisfied libidos and romantic experimentation: otherwise would you know there was something you were missing out on? Psychiatry has a lot to answer for here. Some moron turns up obsessing over what connubial relations would be like with a tree and the shrink goes, "Yerss, I can see how that void in your experience leads to shoplifting and exceeding the speed limit on freeways by 2- or 3-hundred-per-cent," (the moron having been referred for driving over 200MPH in her idiotmobile) but why not? Even if you can't afford to buy one, these things can be hired by the day and then you'll know what it's like to do 4-miles-a-minute! Satan already knows that of course but there are other experiences which through their lack create a void he's itching to fill.

Trees are the least of it. Obviously our headshrinker will recommend creeping nude into the forest (hopefully not during daylight) with a pot of axle grease but through art, so popular nowadays for coffee table books (and the mugs) or wall prints or birthday cards, many other compulsions are suggested. Satan knew that when he inspired the artists but fulfilment does not come from satisfied lusts. It comes from not having lusts in the first place.
James 1:21-23 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, s/he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass.

Wait, what? Women can have orgasms? The Devil must have been working overtime to have come up with that disgusting idea.
