I was recently exposed to a truly bizarre and obscure cult: Frodology.
These people claim that J.R.R. Tolkien, the author of The Lord of the Rings trilogy, had actually discovered ancient texts regarding the worship of Hobbits, in particular the one called Frodo.
Dr. Michael J. Bisconti has declared the Frodologist homepage one of the two extant "Scumbag Websites" on the entire Internet. The other? PZ Myers' Pharyngula at www.scienceblogs.com.
In fact the Frodologists are so confused by the declaration of Scumbagness that they have had to comment on their own page:
Surely, their status as one of the only TWO "Scumbag Websites" indicates the dangerousness of this cult.

Do I really want to know what a Piss Patrolman does?

Since Frodology apparently shares so much in common with Mr. Biscuit, I fail to see why we are listed as scumbags at all. Indeed, here are but a few brief examples of our common ground:
- We both believe in an afterlife (although he sadly does not believe in a beforelife)
- We are both fervent practitioners of misogyny
- We agree that homosexuality is treatable
- We both oppose evolution because it's just a silly theory, which means it's almost certainly wrong
