    You really have to ask what we think of a "religion" created by a devil-worshipping science fiction writer?

      I'm actually really bored and trying to fill time. I have a fairly good assumption about how you feel about Scientology. *shrug*

        If you check the False Religions Register (one of the stickies in this subforum) you'll see in the initial post:

        Scientologists

        worship: Satan and Elron Hubbard is his prophet.
        They are hellbound satan worshippers, that's pretty much it.

          Magus, we're here to share the truth about what God says in His Word about Himself -- Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We're not here to "fill your time".

          If you're bored, I suggest you:
          • Read your KJV1611 (If you do not own one, there are many websites where you can read the whole thing, FREE!);
          • Take any of our exciting Bible Quizzes at http://www.landoverbaptist.org/quizlist.html;
          • Read your KJV1611, taking notes on each chapter, including what happened and what it tells you about God and Jesus;
          • Research Scientology and share its salient points in a well-composed (but brief, it doesn't have to be a book!) essay, tell us your thoughts on it, and what you think a proper Christian response would be;
          • Find out why the NIV is called the New Infidel (per)Version (Google KJV vs NIV and you'll find out) and why churches that use it are all False Christians;
          • Calculate 10% of your gross income and begin tithing to Landover, via the handy-dandy PayPal button at the bottom of the page;
          • Read many of the exciting threads here;
          • Query "Criticism of the Catholic Church" and learn all about how one day the Pope will indeed be on a Rope; or
          • Read your KJV1611 and ask us questions about what you've read.

            Re: Scientology

            I found something that only the great minds of Landover can fully comprehend.

            Numbers 23:22 God brought them out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn

            Isaish 13:21But wild beasts of the desert shall lie there; and their houses shall be full of doleful creatures; and owls shall dwell there, and satyrs shall dance there 22And the wild beasts of the islands shall cry in their desolate houses, and dragons in their pleasant palaces: and her time is near to come, and her days shall not be prolonged.
            Using a KJV1611, I found those passages which mention mythological animals. I know off hand (from previous research) that other translations translate "dragon" as "coyote", so I'm assuming the Hebrew is very similar. And, in Hebrew mythology, a satyr was a hairy demon. Plus, I believe it also can be translated as "he-goat" or something.

            Problem is, the word "unicorn" has only been translated as that. Any thoughts on why the Bible mentions an animal that wasn't in Hebrew myths (to my limited knowledge) and obviously isn't real?

            God bless

              Obviously not real? You just admitted to find references to both dragons and unicorns in GOD's WORD. GOD wrote the KJV1611 BIBLE, it wasn't "translated" from anything, therefore unicorns and dragons must have existed at one time as GOD talks about them

                Unicorns are extinct, just like the dinosaurs.
                What's so strange about that, "Magus"?

                  I have seen some ridiculous quotes here, but this has to take the cake. For those who don't know, that is a figure of speech.

                    Re: Scientology

                    God also has a womb, then:

                    29Out of whose womb came the ice? and the hoary frost of heaven, who hath gendered it?
                    Job 38:29

                    Oddly enough, God's phallus is never actually accounted for in the Bible.

                      I do believe the unicorns drowned in the flood, along with the dinosaurs. Thanks for bringing it up, Magus; that's something many folks overlook in the Bible. You must be doing your studying!

                      Certainly it is. God was circumcised, during his time on Earth in the form of Jesus.

                        Getting circumcised doesn't give a male the female reproductive organs (womb), and Job wrote that verse long before God's physical incarnation as Jesus Christ.

                          Goodness, I certainly hope not! <checking> Nope. PHEW!

                          I was responding to your comment that God's phallus was not mentioned. Of course it was, as He was circumcised.

                              Son, your mistake is that you mock Jesus and imagine yourself a witch. Better repent now, before He decides to kill you tonight.
