I know the Bible exists what I'm asking is can you prove that the stories and rules in it are real that they have any credit to them because if all you can do is use Bible quotes to prove the Bible then it doesn't seem like the stories are real.

Who would make up a story about a flood that wipes out all life in the world except for eight humans and a carefully curated selection of animals?


Who would make up a story about a talking ass, or someone who could stop the sun as it moves across the sky?


In the Bible, God feeds people with food from the sky and parts the waters of the sea. Jesus feeds thousands of people with a box lunch of bread and fishes and He walks on top of water.


There are stories about a guy whose strength is sapped because he gets a haircut and a young man who brings down a looming giant with only a slingshot.


Who would think to make up such stories? And why would they bother? Are they are trying to trick us into enjoying eternal life at God's side and avoiding the horrors of hell?


What kind of con job is that? The Bible offers believers bliss and warns them against terrifying pain. Who would lie about something as important as that? What would be the point? Most people lie to get something good for themselves and avoid suffering bad consequences.


Lying to give other people the blessings of heaven and help them to avoid suffering in hell strikes me as very silly, indeed.


When people who follow false religions lie they are clearly doing it for nasty, selfish reasons.

God knows there will always be people like you, unsaved and possibly beyond salvation. That is why Hell has a greater capacity than Heaven. You are free to believe what you want to believe and disbelieve what you don't want to believe. God is free to boot you into the Lake of Fire at His convenience. Beware, Dotty; there are no guarantees. You could pass at any time and find yourself afloat in the fiery pit before you know what has happened.

I have a Bible in every room in my house. I can pick them up, I can pile them up, I can read them, I can spread them around the room, I can give them to my friends, I can admire them on my coffee table. They are very real. On the other hand, there is no proof you exist. I have only seen evidence of you on a computer screen and when I turn it off, you disappear. How do I know you are real? I think you should stop this childish demanding that we prove something we see every day is real and prove you are real.

It's all well and good that you can use the Bible to prove the Bible but is there any proof that isn't a Bible passage or something else from the Bible that proves the Bible is real?

God is real, therefore the Bible is real.


John 1:1-4 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
See? God's Word.


Psalm 12:6-7 The words of the Lord are pure words:
As silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
7 Thou shalt keep them, O Lord,
Thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

God's Word shall be kept forever; God's word is pure.


John 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
God's Word is true.


Revelation 22:18-19 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

There it is. This book, the Bible is in its entire form and is the Word of God, and must not be tampered with.


Nowhere does it say that the Koran is true. Nowhere does it say that the Origin of Species is true. Nowhere does it say that Einstein's words are true. Why? Because they're not.

It's all well and good that you can use the Bible to prove the Bible but is there any proof that isn't a Bible passage or something else from the Bible that proves the Bible is real?

Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

For any True Believer™ that is more than enough. However, you need to have "objective" proof. As evidenced by the verse above, Jesus knew that there'd be people like you (don't you see, He knew beforehand that you'd ask these questions, how cool is that!). Of course, it is available but it is always sad that someone is blinded by the material world and does not simply Trust Jesus.

Please look at the following points that verify the Miraculous Nature of the Bible but fail when it comes to other religious texts.

1. Eyewitness testimony. There are the words of those people who actually lived and witnessed the events during Biblical times. Furthermore, lots of archeological evidence supports the Bible. For instance, there are descriptions of cities that have been confirmed with archeology. See also Genesis 10:11.
2. There is the testimony of us True Christians™. Our lives have been changed and these wonderful, awesome changes are consistent with the Bible ! See also Luke 1:47.
3. Look at the prophecies in the Bible. They have been fulfilled! It cannot be a coincidence. Daniel Chapter 2 predicted the Roman empire and much more. For reference, see Daniel 2:34.
4. There is the unique and consistent nature of manuscripts of the Bible during a time when there was only illiteracy, unreliable greedy scribes and slow methods of communication. See also Psalms 12:6.
5. There is the prerequisite of God for secular logic and science. In science, the satanic concept of Darwinism embraced by atheists, Papists and false Christians gives absolutely no possibility of a mind that could be trusted at all. How could quantum fluctuations in the alleged space-time produce a mind that could reliably examine anything?! If Darwinism were true, we would not be able to trust anything. The same for human, wordly logic. See also Ruth 2:12.

If you hesitate and continue to procrastinate, Jesus may lose His patience and lead you even further into sin. Please, act NOW and choose Him!

All non-Biblical "science" is delusion. You're deep in it. Only obedience and disregard of the atheist observations (Ecclesiastes 12:13) of tellyscopes, genetics, and sociology, etc. can Save you.

Could you provide the citation from the Quran for that claim, please, Dottie? Surah and ayah/ayat, please, and in the original - we have scholars who can read it.

Have you ever had the feeling when you know something is right (like tithing, being a obedient wife and daughter, etc) and when you know something's wrong (murdering innocent Christian people, being an uppity female, stealing, etc)? That's the Holy Spirit telling you what to do and the Holy Spirit told me the Bible is true (as if I don't read that in the Bible myself and see it literally spelled out for me) so obviously, the Bible is real and true and the Word of God.

Sure but other Gods from other books say that there book is true. What can prove the Bible aside from the Bible itself?

When you walk into a library and you see a coffee table book with a lovely aardvark on the cover, can you prove to me that book is real without using that book? Of course you can. Well, the same logic applies to the Bible. It is a real book. I can touch it, see it, even taste it if I want (Psalm 34:8) (John 1:1). I can feel its pages and I can see evidence of its promises and prophecies.


And by the way, that's a crummy argument. Any and ALL religions (even though others are fake) require certain elements of faith. I am proud to have my faith in a living GOD who sits on the throne hearing and answering my prayers.
