Swords, like all weapons, are for destruction, namely of life. You follow a contradiction. You also choose to focus on these parts as opposed to more loving parts of Christ's words, therefore showing that you are a violent individual = mentally unstable = a threat to your friends' and family's safety.
5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

This means he has not come to destroy the old laws (Old testament) but to fulfil it!!! Jesus is saying the Old testament is valid. Of course in those days they didn't call it the Old testament.

Oh, so your ideals are not up for defense? Then how do you find ways to justify and confirm your beliefs? How do you know yourself when you choose not to defend yourself?

I hate God because of you. You all act like you're the messengers of God, somehow ordained with that position even though no one gave you that duty except yourself because you think you're more special than everyone else.

I have news for you: We all go into the same ground when we die, and we're all eaten by the same worms as we all decay. When we die, you and I both become fertilizer.

I might suggest you start with Bible in a year,

This will help you get a better grasp on the Bible and being a true Christian ™.

You need to start off by reading THIS thread about our church doctrine.

I wonder why you hate God so much?

Also, I am glad that I am considered "trash" since I'm apparently unsaved. I think I am more saved than all of you due to my ability to love all of mankind, and not just the white hetero Christian American parts. The only redeeming thing is that I hope even the most devout of Baptist Christians that register here are too considered "unsaved trash" in their first posts. I had no idea God/Christ was such an elitist and judgmental being.

    I Challenge the "True Christians"

What sort of perversion of "Christianity" is this?

Since this is likely to be my only post (since I'll probably be banned for being a liberal and a defender of Jews and gays), I'll introduce myself a bit so you can see where I'm coming from (besides Hell):
-I was formerly Christian, now I am an Atheist
    -I believe God is a man-made concept
-I believe Jesus was a good philosopher and that's all he was.
-I am a Socialist like Jesus seemingly was (and Obama is not, unfortunately)
    -I am white (unfortunately)
-I am against anti-Semitism, sexism, racism, homophobia, and all other forms of prejudiced hatred (I mean, can you really hate Jews and love Jesus, since Jesus was a Jew, and the Christian Old Testament is all Jewish?)
-I am drug-free, alcohol-free, meat-free, and money-free. I have sexual intercourse in a deeply committed relationship without marriage because I do not need a God and/or a state to justify my partnership (which is heterosexual by the way, in case you were waiting for me to be gay too).

I've renounced any association with Christianity due to the likes of "Christians" such as yourselves, but I know I shouldn't do that. No, not because Jesus will smite me, but because I know Christianity is not the hate-filled message that you "people" embrace so heavily. How are you the true religion? This is my challenge to you, and I invite you to prove me wrong. In doing so, you will ultimately confirm my disgust and contempt towards Christianity. The message of Christianity that I have learned about at my university is actually loving and welcoming, but unfortunately I find that that classroom was the only place where this Christianity exists; the real-world Christianity is a much darker and more hateful form. As I sit here and watch the "Smilie" of the obviously Muslim militants having bombs dropped on them () I can't help but wonder how you people have read the Bible and come to the conclusion that God and Jesus encourage you to hate. I've only read parts of the Bible (and maybe this is why I don't see Christianity as a hate-religion) but the few parts I've read, and most importantly the DIRECT WORDS of Jesus Christ himself, have shown me that a True Christian would be more or less like myself: compassionate, humble, non-judgemental, and probably Socialist. Your ignorance of Christianty is surprisingly deep. You claim that Catholics are a false religion. Do you not know that the first and only form of Christianity was Catholicism (until the Great Schism of 1054 which created the Eastern Orthodox church). Your religion is an offshoot of the original Christianity, therefore making your "religion" much less legitimate than Catholicism. Plus, you all worship the same people anyway, are you guys serious?

Your challenge is to show me the hatred and the sickness of Christianity.

Jesus Christ himself said (King James versions):

"For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God." (Luke 18:25)
-How do you justify supporting Republicans and their quest to keep the wealthy as rich as possible (at the expense of the middle and poor classes)? You are encouraging the rich to go to Hell.

"So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her." (John 8:7)
-How do you judge others as being less worthy of Heaven than you? How are you better? You are not without sin - no one is.

What happened to the parable of the Good Samaritan? Why are you people so cruel and disgustingly, ignorantly hateful? HOW DO YOU LOOK YOURSELVES IN THE MIRROR AND CALL YOURSELVES CHRISTIANS?

Please, justify yourself to me. Show me how you can legitimately consider yourself a member of humanity. And prove to me that Christianity (and all related religions: Judaism, Islam, Zoroastrianism, etc.) is flawed and mankind would only better itself by abandoning these creeds of hate.

You guys seem to embrace Satan over any other figure in Christian mythology.
