  • Stay-at-Home Dads are not Christians

We here at Landover Baptist owe our support to Pastor Mark Driscoll for his decision that stay at home men cannot be Christians. There are no stay at home men in the Bible. Instead, leaders in the Bible have several wives and who take care of things at the home, or for wealthy men, homes.

The link is by a whiny wife and mother of two children with Sisic Fibrosis. She claims she is working for a Christian non profit and her husband was a teacher. They decided the children and their household would be best served by her continuing to work and he resigning his job and staying home with their disabled children. She did not check with the Bible. Best she reads God's Word and repents to save her husband from an eternity in hell.

Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

It is amazing how confused some people can be. This woman thinks that by working to end Planned Parenthood that she is right with Jesus, and then she goes and publicly rebukes a Man of the Cloth?!

And if her faith were genuine, then why are her children sick with a so-called "chronic condition"?

People have such ridiculous ideas and they all contradict The Holy Bible. Not long ago, I saw this commercial for Amazon Price, or whatever. It featured a stay-at-home dad, (a thin, reedy-looking fellow who looked like he lacked the necessary equipment to even become a dad, if you catch my drift) enduring all sorts of indignities looking after a poopy baby. (I think he bought diapers and coffee from Amazon. Though I don't know why babies need coffee.)

After buying things from Amazon and emasculating himself through childcare, at the end of the commercial, the guy's wife gives him a look and he jumps up to follow her. The message that Amazon is REALLY selling, (besides kiddie-coffee) is that if a man "chips in" with childcare then his wife will "reward" him with sex, even when he's skinny and wimpy.

As Pastor Driscoll could tell you, this is sooo NOT Biblical! A man doesn't have to do anything to "win" sex from his wife. Wives are commanded to submit to their husbands. End of story. Women need to know their place, which is at home, taking care of the kids and quietly providing for their husbands' needs in a darkened bedroom.
