Religious freedom is necessary to pass money around without scrutiny. A bedrock of our faith. But I just don't trust the way liberals use it to do so-called "ceremonies" as an excuse to take psychedelic drugs. Hello?! Drugs are illegal. We need to figure out some laws to stop that and I know the President will figure it out.
If I have seen further, it is by standing on the heads of others.

There is currently a trending thread touching upon this very concern. 2 Corinthians 6:14.

"Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?"

It seems to me that J.D. needs to rid himself of his foreign wife who is undoubtedly leading his children into hellfire and seek sole custody immediately.

His left hand should be under my head, and his right hand should embrace me.

This is such an important topic. You know, there are people who live without The Bible, following the most dumb ideas such as by going in a trance and hallucinating an okapi means you're an okapi "in the spirit world" (whatever that means) and okapi consciousness is your spirit guide. Here is an okapi.
          .

It could be anything, just not anything real. Obviously an okapi is a real animal [surprisingly -ed.] but you'll never convince me I'm an okapi – whether from a previous universe, in the world to come or recently teleported to the middle of Giant Rock, Landers, California. And that does sound uncomfortable! Here is a picture of Giant Rock.
          .

I Corinthians 7:12 14b 16c [Paul writes] If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away . . . the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband . . . how knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save thy wife?

Unbelievers lack any boundary in this respect. There is no consistency in the ravings of their gurus or for that matter, I suppose, the ingredients of their witchdoctors' potions. But here we have degrees of unbelief. Hinduism is avowedly idolatrous. Catholicism pretends not to be. The yoking of unbelievers having different degrees of heresy—two versus three in this case—is something of a moot point. What they lack is a consistent source validating their hallucinations (okapi, monkey god, purple elephant with eleven arms) or in the case of "soma" a consistent list of ingredients, a position any Christian finds incomprehensible.

          It makes me sad.

Your observation unbelievers lack any boundary is profound, Sister Mitza. Think of this. JD Vance is a heartbeat away from becoming President, the most powerful position in the world. In his bed is a woman who will, like Eve, cause JD to commit a sin as great as The Original Sin. That would be using her beauty and beguiling ways to convert him to her religion, Hinduism. Adam could not resist Eve's invitation to eat the forbidden fruit. If a President Vance announced, "I have decided the true religion is Hinduism, that the real god is not God but this gold thing," our entire country would be at risk of an eternity in hell.

Click image for larger version Name:	catholic skeleton.jpg Views:	0 Size:	41.7 KB ID:	2078928Thank you. Of course he could also decide that the true religion is represented by a gem encrusted skeleton. Catholicism's lousy with the things so there's plenty to choose from.

I have no idea which one this is, marginally less revolting than the others and the diamond eyeballs are rather classy, my dear. NOT.

I wonder, do they have a cardinal in charge of thinking up tacky objects they can get people to worship? And let's face it, calling these skeletons "tacky" is an insult to tacky people. But the real problem lies elsewhere.

Now whether a Hindu considers Krishna and Jesus to be the same person is of marginal interest. There are quite a few gods for them to pick from and for all I know someone who worships Ganesh could also worship Kali – the point being that they do call it worship. They make an idol, then they worship the idol. Perhaps they say they channel an abstract principle represented by the statue but it amounts to the same thing and is prohibited by God. Hindus need to 1. stop doing that and 2. accept Jesus, in order to be Christians.

Catholics, on the other hand, have more of an uphill struggle. First, stop lying about idolatry. To make, to worship, to adore, words make no difference: it's the doing that's prohibited. Second, stop calling people "Father" and get rid of the idols. At that point they would still not be Christians but at least they wouldn't be idolators. Third, they need to accept Jesus.

A purist would have a 4th point, in between 1 and 2: stop lying about being Christians. I don't know what goes on inside their heads, everything they do or teach being the exact opposite of what God commands (or prohibits) but becoming Hindu would at least achieve step one.

I agree get rid of the idols, Sister Mitza. The problem with that is if JD allows Usha to remain both his wife and a Hindu the idols are coming. It seems to me the task at hand is get rid of Usha or get rid of Hinduism.

Ideally, yes. Deuteronomy 21:15-16. But then the gem-encrusted skeletons would remain – and not be considered idols. At least she knows they are, and using her wiles could persuade her owner that yes, it is so. There are not fractions of infinity when distances removed from Christ are mooted. Even so, a line started here and extending infinitely into the distance (the beam of a lighthouse, say) is not the same line as one infinitely extended in both directions.

Acknowledging wickedness, as defined by God whether one agrees with Him or not, is closer to Redemption than denying it ("it" being something God prohibited) even exists at all.

The sad thing is the curry stains Vance too. I learned a hard lesson when one of the more liberal ladies at my church allowed an Indian woman to help with tea time after the service. Her heart may have been in the right place - be inclusive, Indians are good with service, what could go wrong? Well this lady was a real diva. She started drinking up the tea and cookie supplies and complained when we called her out. She lazed about in the chapel library wearing sun glasses and smoking reefer, and when we asked her to leave, that she was insulting us and the Virgin Mary, she said that was impossible, because white people can't be insulted. Finally, we had to call the police and escort her out. Turns out, she was out on bail, facing a murder charge.

Why I'm sharing this is, JC Vance really needs to be careful bedding with the Kali.

Whether deceased persons can be insulted is a moot point but the reefer is covered by God under the following heading:

                      P.L.A.N.T.S

God blessed [Adam and Eve], and God said unto them . . . Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. And to every [animal], I have given every green herb . . . and, behold, it was very good.
                      Genesis 1:28a 29 30a 30d 31b

That necessarily includes cactuses, toadstools and the marihuana – although God's intention seems to be eating it rather than smoking it in reefers. "Cacti" is not a plant family immediately appealing (to eat) but several species became popular added to fruit punch, after The Fall. Did these, along with certain toadstools, contain the ingredients for which they're celebrated today? Under the curse, Genesis 3:18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field, when some plants were reengineered to sprout spikes, were others infused with psychoactive toxins? Particularly the ones that look edible, which Eve may have prepared for a light supper or served on toast for breakfast but now if you eat one you drop dead, that would be a surprise! They were warned—well, Adam was warned—but Eve thought she knew better. BANG!! right there, spikes, thorns, thistles, toxic fungi, hallucinogenic cacti and, perhaps worst of all, the reefer.

These were modifications of existing plants rather than new creations, we know from Genesis 2:2a And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made. It's possible that The Fall occurred on Day 7 and that God, walking in Eden to relax, discovered the abomination and modified His plants as appropriate. I suppose He could have created some new plants on Day 7, after all it is the day He ENDED creating. He might have gone for His walk, discovered the abomination, created some new plants, cursed the serpent so its legs dropped off, THEN rested. Alternatively, deadly toadstools may already have existed but grew somewhere no human would ever visit – because we'd be in a relationship with God so trying some hallucinogenic fruit punch or making hash cakes would never be activities at all.

Which brings us back to India where the British planted out some quality strains (of marihuana) in the Himalayas so that cooperative maharajahs would have a superior product to entertain their guests. It could be made into hasheesh far better suited for cakes than whatever they had before. The same would apply to opium and the British were as assiduous in finding locations to grow that, as Satan was in finding new ways to misuse it. Kali is another name for Satan but why anyone would worship her is a mystery to me.

Is that the sort of thing we'd like to see when visiting The White House? No, of course not. But would a statue of the so-called "Virgin Mary" be any better? Satan is one thing, even if he's pretending to be an eight-armed skull floozy putting out the tongue, ‘‘Ho hum,’’ one may think. ‘‘A skull floozy, how fascinating! The Bible is clear on using her to liven up my chakra energies.’’ ‘‘Oh, really,’’ is one possible response, ‘‘what does The Bible say about that?’’ To which one may reply: ‘‘It says not to do that.’’ So a real learning moment. Mary idols offer no such opportunity. Anyone in her cult already runs a translation package where God's words mean the opposite of whatever He says so useful conversation is impossible. Prayer is the only solution in that case and I appreciate Mrs Frottage's contribution for that reason.

                      In Christ.
