We had someone else from Iceland here before, from Stockholm I think. Do you have penguins? They are all homersexual you know.
nice..stockholm is in sweden though..and norway isnt rly iceland. however we are all brothers so it no biggy mixing it up now and then.

Problem with that is that even god himself seems to be quiet a bit of a warrior, he servents doesnt benefit from it directly?

Like if a einherjar dies in battle he ends up in valhalla. Aka heaven.
Other ppl doesnt, so by that the "god" is encouraging you to try to slay as many enemys as possible. If u die while doing it so be it, lets just pray u died in a heroic way. And well if you survive, you get another shot in the next battle. So its not the same as the martyrdom aka islam sucidebombcar trucks which really have nothing to gain from living another day.

where does the bibel say that warriors fighting for the bibel will benefit from it? besides the holy crusade..however that was the pope...and I got the feeling you guys doesnt really like the pope.

we only got penguins in the zoo. but yeah, stockholm got a gay penguin. Seals are much worse though...so we try our best to kill them. and whales.

You should explore the "advanced edit" portion of the reply box. There are more features available there and it gives you a chance to be sure that you wrote what you meant to write.

no, as a army in a democraty u cant be too bond by politics. the "leaders of today" might not be the leaders of tomorrow. So generally they support the politicans who are most willing to send em on most missions and is promishing most fondings. Normaly that is the right side. The left side, specially the socialists/liberalists try to stick as many rods in the wheel as possible. Sending Norwegian soldiers out on patroll in non armored trucks since they doesnt get money for proper trucks ect and then using it in a attempt to turn the public around to get out of there.

Also if your found having nazi sympatizes, atleast if you publicily express them, you will basicly get kicked out/denied service.

I don't have a list, but I wouldn't be surprised if there were a lot of American military names that are Bible related (at least ones that were designated during the Presidency of Ronald Regan, GWB I and GWB II (RIP)).

quick input: Heathenism and wiking warrior spirit in scandinavian armed forces is usually linked back to the nazi era, why the neonazis quote from some people.

    Heathenism in armed Forces(inc US)

    Hi all.

First of all...sorry for my broken english. I come from scandinavia, so english is really my second language. So bear with me please

After reading some treads about specially vampirefreak ect I just wanted to hear some of your thoughts.
Im not a supporter/member of vampyrefreak or similar forums. Nor do I find the paranoia take the best of me. I mostly see it as a temperary state that childs/teenagers go trough in their seek so find their own identety. We all had our periodes I assume. We got a old saying from the prechristan era, saying: Do not try to hide the troll(the creature), bring it out in the sunlight(because then it would die).

So after reading lots of posts here, I find it funny that guys openly admire the work of the armed forces doing work down overseas(irak, afganistan). I dont not disagree however, they do splenid work However most atleast of the Scandinavian(danish and norwegian in particular) isnt some kinda of Gods army to put it that way. Common practise among partical the "stormtrooper elements of the army" in a way of raise the spirit is to praise the old Noorse gods, and they in the proccess of offically removed the "god" in the saying: "for king, god and fatherland" into just: "for king and fatherland". The christian god they think, isnt warriorish enough, and the warrior mentality is more suited with Noorse gods.

A danish/norwegian forum with miliatary members.

"Endnu engang gør de det, opkalder en lejer i det store udland med rod i den nordiske mytologi. Denne gang er turen kommet til Einherjer

Af andre lejre kan nævnes Camp Valhalla i bosnien og Camp Ygdrasil i Irak, begge er nu nedlagt ellers kan vi nævne Mimers brønd (en pølsevogn/grillbar i den snart nedlagte Camp Dannevang"

transilates: Basicly they talk about that its common pracis calling up their military camp names after old noorse mythology.
Like Camp valhalla in bosnia and Camp Ygdrasil in Irak and some hotdog/BBQ place in the soon closed down camp southern part of Irak.

"Det skulle jeg ønske jeg hadde, men det har jeg nok desverre ikke. Det er bare noe jeg har snappet opp på Asatru Lore. Når jeg tenker meg om er jeg ikke sikker på det emd feltgodene. Det jeg vet, er at åsatro er en av religionene som "sponses" av det amerikanske forsvaret."

They are talking about that they want a noorse druid in their army stationared down there. that be the day, one dude is responding, the respons for another soldier is, the american already got down there so why not? åsatru(noorse paganism) is already sponsored by the american army.

"Glæder mig til at høre om det første officielle militærblot.
    Skal feltpræsten så være Gode"
Im looking forward to hear about the first official military Blot(a old ritual slaughter) down there. Shall the fieldpriest then be a druid.

As member of the Norwegian army, I fully endurse this action to raise our old warrior spirit and pride again. However some other raised consern, basicly saying...we are educating a whole army of neonazis down there.(thats dragging it a bit too far I think though)
If you doubt my transelation I would recommend google transilator, besides some spelling errors in their native language it transilated pretty good.

    thoughts?
