    Re: Polygamy

I am a new member fascinated by this forums open approval of polygamy (polygyny) or whatever you are calling it. I would love to see if you have any links to any of the past discussions that you have had regarding this topic. If I were to come to your church with two wives, would we be accepted and be allowed to worship?

Paul, there's a search function for a reason, why should we waste our time doing something you can do for yourself.

And no, we wouldn't accept you. While we believe morally that God does not object to polygyny, we also know that the Bible commands us to obey secular laws. Currently, polygamy is illegal in the US so we cannot condone.

Sad Pierre: you should respect the Elder Members on this forum! They are more experienced and wiser than the new members..

I did not know that the forum had a policy that considered helping others or acts of service as a waste of time. I am sorry if I gave you the impression that I asked for you to do the search for me. I said I would love to see what you had in my post without intending to cause you to feel like it was a request or requirement directed purposefully at you as an individual, and I will using the search suggestion as a starting point.

Your point on secular laws is interesting considering the ban in many state laws regarding oral sex and sex in non missionary positions. Do you require this adherence to state law for your church members as well? If so, could you please post the link for your state, and also if my state says it is ok, and yours says it is not, then can I do it in my state and just not in yours?

          Thanks

If you were familiar with God's Holy Word then you would know very well that we are commanded by God to obey secular law. Obviously that doesn't mean foreign law or law in a place that we do not live in.

I would be interested in seeing a link to your state's laws confining sexural congress to "missionary positions." I've never heard of that being encased in state law before.

You aren't a queer, are you?

Oral sex is always evil. Sex is only to be done for reproductive purposes.

The Bible does not state anything explicitly about what position to use, but I am fairly sure no US state law does either.
