Not all. A person in a frail emotional state needs Jesus more than ever! It makes them take an honest look at themselves and see how sad their life is. All too often, atheists and other non-believers are too wrapped up in their own pride to see their mistakes.

Yes, agnostics are all those terrible things you have said, Brother Jeb, and I wholeheartedly agree. However, on the positive side, since they are so weak-willed and mentally clouded, they make good potential candidates for being converted. Their psychological makeup means they are primed for re-education and indoctrination.

The key is getting an agnostic to break down. When they fall onto their own emotions, they have nothing to stand on. A Christian will fall back on his faith, an atheist will fall back on "logic" or "reason", but an agnostic has nothing. They reach an existential predicament where they see a looming chasm underneath them. They realize they need to fill that chasm with something -- anything.

This is where the ease of conversion comes in. Since they are in a frail, emotional state, they are not using logic or reason. This is perfect for getting them to convert to Christianity. I have converted many weak-willed agnostics using this method over the years.

Which pretty much proves the kinds of snakes you types are. Prey on the weak. Definition of religion.

That's fine. I doubt any of the brothers will have any problem conducting the prayer circle in a secluded woodland area out in the middle of nowhere with nothing but a campfire for illumination. The symbolism of that environment is a good idea on your part. We will take back the woodland campfire from the he-goat buggering, menstrual fluid drinking, baby eating witches in the name of Jesus!!! PRAISE!!! We will be able to rebuke and chant as loud as we want in that environment and Satan's throws of agony will fall only on deaf ears. We are going to pray long and hard for your soul, dear. Christ's love is going to fill you until there is practically no room left and it is spilling out. Your every nook and cranny will claimed in the name of JESUS!!! Nothing will be left for Satan! HALLELUJAH!!!

How is next Saturday at 10PM? We'll need to head out there around 8:30PM.

Well, to be honest, I'm a little wary of being on the business end of that whole rebuking thing...

Maybe we could try the sangria / campfire approach, and then see if we can come to some mutual understanding from there. You're always free to wrap a prayer circle around the house if needed while I read this Milton H Erickson tome (looks like it's going to be too New-Agey gauzy for me, but one of my friends said it was interesting from an alternative psychiatric perspective). Does that sound reasonable?

Two problems with that:

1) You are banking on that without a shred of evidence. That totally contradicts your initial premise (especially sentence 2).

2) What is "good"? You have no baseline from which to judge.

It seems we have not talked about agnostics lately.

Basically an Agnostic says "I don't know or care if religion is true, I'm neutral, I'll await proof of which religion is true, if any."

So that means agnostics are saying "I don't know if highjacking a plane and flying it into a skyscraper sends you to a paradise filled with virgins."

They're saying "I'm neutral about the Carthaginian belief that murdering children on altars is how you keep the rain falling."

They're saying "I can't disprove the Thuggee belief that strangling random people by the roadside keeps the world in balance. I don't know or care if it's right or wrong.

Agnostics are nothing but spineless cowards who are trying to escape responsibility for their inactivity in the face of evil.

Any agnostics here that have enough spine to disagree with me?

As an agnostic, and a newly visitor of this forum, I signed up just to reply to you.

First of all, as an agnostic I believe that there should be no reason to devotely follow a religion until it is proven to be true. Many people share that. It's a law implemented in science. You can't come to a conclusion in research without first being sure that what you have researched is completely true in all cases. You cant say you have solved cancer without finding that you're "cure" is true in all cases. In the subject of religion, you cannot say one religion is the only path to salvation. No religion has been proven to be the only path to salvation because there is no proof to prove this claim. However, you can dissaprove a religion. The act of dissaproving is used in mathematics to show that two things does not equal to eachother. For example. Let x=a soul and let y=god. Many people believe that by following a stated religion, that X=Y in a sense that a soul will reach god (salvation). However, if you can come up with one example that shows that X does not equal Y, then the stated religion is completely false. This scenario can be shown in the bible through countless of examples which is why agnostics like myself do not want to follow christianity.

Not following a faith does not gurantee we will go to hell or be "punished". I went through this forum and in 5 minutes I saw so much ignorance, so much hate towards other religions, that I just convinced myself that being a christian is not the true way of life. I'd rather honestly be an agnostic and be neutral and not hate other religions. Because hatred will not give you salvation. If i were god, would I give a bunch of christians in this forums that spread hate and ignorance a path to heaven, or would i give a bunch of agnostics who dont hate and are good citizens in the world the path to heaven. If I were god, I'd definitely give the agnostics a path to heaven because they are not spreading hate in society like you. (Not I am not saying christianity is a path to hell, its just unfortunate that some people like the thread operator are extremely delusional. I met good christians, christians who respect other religions and the operator above does not respect. To make it simple, you're not a good guy. And I've always been taught that good people go to heaven . )

To show an example of hatred in the thread operator, refer to this quote in his post.

He clearly is showing hatred towards islam. This is an ignorant comment because the people who flew the plane into a skyscrapper are "islamic extremists". There are good and bad people in every religion. There are bad christians everywhere. There are bad muslims everywhere. There are also good christians and there are good muslims. Judging islam from extremist militants is a ignorant thing to do. It's like saying "christianity is the path to hell because hitler is a bad man". It's also saying that "christianity is the path to hell becuse Phillip Craig Garrido is a sex offender and is inspired by the bible in the wrong way".

Just like Garrido who is inspired by the bible negatively, the islamic terrorists are inspired by the qur'an negatively.

So back to the thread operator, I dont think I'm a spineless coward. I just dont want to follow any religion because I dont want to be an ignorant person like you, nor do I want to be inspired hatred of other religions. I want to be a good person in society and not say ignorant things on forums like you, and I do not want to talk bad about other religions. I firmlyh believe that if there is heaven and hell, that only good people who practice good behaviors go to hell. Hatred and ignorance of other religions is not a noble deed. In fact. it is immoral.

I am all for that! One thing that Christians have learned, is that a sufficiently large camp fire can be a very persuasive and educational tool.

This is absolutely true. We have them at Children's Bible Camp and find the bigger the bonfire, the easier it is to illuminate the idea of hell and we get many more conversions.

I am all for that! One thing that Christians have learned, is that a sufficiently large camp fire can be a very persuasive and educational tool.
