No, they dont believe in satan. They use its name and image because it means the opposite of Religion and Christianism. Satan's name and image are the "logo" of that philosophy, the symbol. But satanist dont believe in Satan as the Devil. Its like a metaphore. Satanists are atheists, they only worship themselves. The ones who believe in Christianism and worship the Devil are the Luciferians.

That's false advertising. If a Jew tried to sell me a tin of 500 peas which, when opened, turned out to contain only 12, I could have him prosecuted for knowingly deceiving his customers. I was have always heard its just not believeing in a diety, but believeing in spiritual building of the self.
