I wonder if we're not being unfair to Phil Garrido. I mean, the man was distributing Christian literature, and we all know that Christians are incapable of sin. Whatever crimes he may have committed in the past, it appears that Jesus has cleansed them, though of course he must pay the father the 50 shekels of silver and take the girl as his second wife.

Here's a man who provided a home to a wayward girl and her two bastard children for 18 years, at no expense to them, and, if that's not an act of Christian charity, I don't know what is.

Anway, what's the problem with this girls parents? They never once visited their grandchildren, and the first thing they do upon finally seeing them is complain about their father? There's something seriously wrong with those people. They really need to learn to turn the other cheek.

50 shekels is a lot more than that. One shekel is roughly 1/3 oz of silver, and silver is currently trading at $13.51 an oz, so 50 shekels is more like $225.

Ah! I was looking at the current exchange rate between the Godly United States dollar and the grasping, greedy shekel of today's Israel. This is why women should stay out of finance! (Thank you, Jesus, that my husband - Mr. Whitford - takes care of all that!)

It has come to my attention that some people may read my post as supporting the kidnapping of children. I don't want to leave anyone with that mistaken impression. While nothing in the Bible prohibits stealing females, the Bible has very strict sanctions against kidnapping males, including death and making the menstealers follow all of the silly laws the Jews invented:

I'm just a little confused here. Are you attacking us because we believe the Bible or are you attacking us because you find some issue with how much we hate child molesters?

If you could clarify your position, we might be able to have a rational discussion friend!
