Brother, it doesn't matter what scripture we provide, he'll just claim we "take it out of context".

Follow Him is just another example of wishy washy modern christianity. They are the kind of people who only rebuke one type of person. That person is someone who is more closely following the word of God than they are.

When they say "how can you say this?" "How can you do this?" what it really means is that they are insecure in their own christianity. They aren't used to actually running into someone who might actually be on the road to Christ. When they are shown the error of their ways, they get angry. Does Follow Him protest at gay bars? Does Follow Him protest at the courts when people are set free?

I'm guessing that he doesn't. I'm also going to guess that he thinks that people who do are wacko-fundamentalists who miss the message. I'm guessing he thinks that Fred Phelps is hellbound.

Why does he think this? Because someone who actually Rebukes, Reproves, exhorts (2 Timothy 4:2) scares him. The thought that there is more he could be doing to be closer to God, makes him realize, he's not that close at all.

He'll understand that someday.

Hopefully it's before he's dead and in hell.

Brother V, I actually respect you for your down to earth manner. Out of everyone I have seen post on here, you and brother Hutchins have struck me as the least arrogant/prideful of them all.

Now when you say Im wishy washy modern christianity, I wouldnt agree with that. I try to follow the Word of God the best way I can interpret it. I can only do that which I feel God is speaking to my heart or core. I can see that many of you know the Bible, and that is good! But it becomes a problem when you yourselves believe that you know all there is to know and that there is no chance that you are wrong in some of the ways that you have. I will be the first to admit that I dont know/understand all of the Bible. Yet I have ran across 3/4 people that claim that they follow, and I quote, "all of the Bible." Now to make that claim is to claim to know/understand 'all of the Bible.' Thats why I say be humble and have humility. Dont be arrogant, because Christ was not arrogant. In fact, God humbled Himself, even unto death(Phil. 2:8) for you and me. All I ask of any of you is to represent Christ in a LOVING and HUMBLE manner.

For your sake, I hope and pray that you are on the road to Christ. I pray that He will reveal Himself to you and more to me as well. We are the body of Christ, and for this reason, I pray that we could unite as His body!

BTW...who is fred phelps? I dont know him.

He does seem to have a point. In the Bible it says that the meek will inherit the earth. It's not very meek to claim to be the only ones going to heaven.

I would gladly answer for all of my actions on earth, but to God, not to you.

Why do you assume once again that your "you are all in danger!" hand waiving is so convincing that we have no other choice but to surrender to your "logic"? We surrender to God, not to you.

Ok, I dont know if you just havent read through the rest of my posts or not, but in just about every single one, I use the Bible to back up what I say. I am not going to go back and look over my posts to prove to you Im not lying. You can do that work for yourself if you dont believe me. And Im glad that you said that you would gladly answer to God, because thats all I ask of you. But truly think of your actions, rather than just avoiding what Im saying. I am not here to argue with anyone, but rather, as I stated previously, to give a strong word of rebuke for the ways of this forum/church(if it is a real church).

Jesus taught us to love our neighbors, just as we love ourselves.(Mark 12:31). Think about what that really means. If you dont like to be called names, such as trash, then why on earth would you do it to someone else. Oh friends, dont you see??? God loves us all, and until each of us are dead and in the ground, there is still hope for each of us. Some may seem hopless, but so did the Ninevites when Jonah was sent to preach to them. God can overcome all things, because He has created ALL THINGS! Dont be so hateful to people, especially new people you dont know. I pray God will show you just a piece of His plan, that your hearts would be conformed to be as that of Christs!

If you are constantly providing the problem without providing the solution it's called bitching. And you sir are sounding a lot like a spoiled 12 year old female. I'm not calling you names - so don't start in with all of that - but it's just how you sound. A little spoiled and a lot bitchy.

You answer my question, with a question? You are obviously avoiding my question, which is not very difficult to answer, if you are not in the wrong, that is. I have continuously presented my problems with most of the 'true christians' on here, such as yourself. What proof do I have that you are not 'hot' for the Lord? Simply your underlined words above are all I need. You pretend to be Holy, just as the Pharisees did in Christs day...the same ones that crucified Him. That is my proof, and that is why I appear angry. But not angry just for the sake of arguing, but rather, for the sake of Christs name not being trampled by some cult that proclaims Him to be their savior. You drag His holy name through the muck and the mud with your actions on this forum. And if someone with a sound mind disagrees with you, you ban him/her or make fun of them. All I ask is that you simply compare yourselves to the Word of God!

We follow the holy Bible (KJV 1611) and we follow all of it.
We are salt of the earth, a city on the hill (Matt 5:13-16)

You do realize that we are all evildoers, right? This is the sort of arrogance and pride Im talking about. At least have the decency to format your argument properly and keep it short so that there's high information density.

Most importantly: stop with the presumptuous attitude that you know it all and that thousands of people who have researched the Bible very carefully don't. It's very disrespectful and will not help you get your arguments heard.

First of all, thank you for not responding in an ill manner. Secondly, its not what you are doing wrong, just how you present yourselves(most of you anyway...not all.)

My biggest thing is the lack of love, and sometimes feel of hatred and arrogance towards people that join. Another thing is calling people 'trash'. To me, this is wrong for the simple fact that Jesus died for us all...therefore, if you refer to someone in this way, it is somewhat saying Jesus died for trash. You can see how this would be wrong.

Jesus may have died for all of ours sins but most are so depraved they will not accept His incredible gift

John 7:24 says 'Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgement' which is what I am trying to do. Not by the way you look, but the way some of your 'true christians' are doing things. When you call yourself a 'true christian' you are saying you represent Christ. And if you act the complete opposite of what Christ was all about, then that bothers me. Im not saying I am righteous, but I will judge what I see with my own eyes, that of my brothers/sisters in Christ.

We do judge them by righteous judgment. Again, how else do you judge an atheist? You going to lie to an atheist and tell them, "Oh Jesus will give you warm huggies" when you die? No friend, the proper thing is to be honest with them.

As part of His great Comission to us Jesus charged us with witnessing to the world.
