Death is the only certainty that both and all sides can and do agree upon, and once it happens that's it. Even if there is a God and all that stuff, we're not all like Jesus and we can't all just come back from death, it's a permanent change. Just because someone doesn't have a belief in God(s), doesn't mean they are absent of feeling(s).

Larry Hooper was killed for being an atheist. His brutal murder, perpetrated at the hands Arthur Shelton, a Christian and Eagle scout, was justified simply because he was an atheist.
The trial began with the taped phone call Arthur Shelton placed to the Taylor police department in Taylor, Michigan, October 18, 2004, at precisely 12:44 AM. Shelton sounded calm and prideful when he told the dispatcher he had just shot "the devil himself" with a revolver and a shotgun because "he (Hooper) didn't believe in God." Shelton told the dispatcher he was "still armed and ready to shoot again in case he moves. I want to make sure he's gone." When the dispatcher asked how many times he shot the victim Shelton replied, "hopefully enough."

My guess is at a funeral, an atheist would be mourning the loss of a person they cared about who is no longer among the living. Doesn't matter what you believe, death is devastating.

Surely they'd view death as a release from the pain of atheism?

Why mourn when they can kill themselves? Nothing matters to these people anyway. They're going to die eventually anyway and everything they were, will be, or are currently have never really been according to their doctrine. All their memories and experiences: poof!!! If what they say is true it'll be like they never existed so what does life matter? These "people" do not comprehend love or remorse.

That's why they rape, molest children, steal, mate with animals, murder, etc. They don't think it's ever going to cath up with them since it will be as if they never existed anyway when all is said and done according to their idiotic beliefs.

Since an atheists have no respect or love for any other human being that is all they deserve. While I share your sentiments exactly Brother BJ, I can also provide an answer to your question, at least from the atheist position. I have studied the behavior of the God haters for years now, so I know from which I speak.

According to them, they live "for the moment". By that they mean that they exist only for the personal pleasure they get out of the thievery, rape, perverted whoredoms, laziness, and various sundry immoralities they wallow in each day. They do the work of satan by aggressively spreading the lies of atheism and monkey worship to everyone they can. They pour billions of dollars into campaigns designed to brainwash innocent children into their cult, and they actively bribe demoncrat politicians to help force their anti-God agenda down our throats.

Basically, they live to commit sin.

Which is why we True Christians must be tireless in our drive to eradicate these vermin from our Godly country, and raise our fund driving efforts as well. Do you realize that we Christians only outspend the atheist hoards by something like 50 to 1?

Recently we've been getting a whole heap of Atheist Trash visiting God's favourite Forum and it got me thinking.
We all know that Atheists are nothing more than Inhuman Animals, Cowards and Liars.

What I was wondering is this; Do Atheists cry at Funerals and if so, why?
After all, they believe that a deceased person is just a dead rotting Corpse and no more. Since Atheists hate God, and they hate Family, and they hate Country, who are they crying for?
