  • Hell: Bad Place or Marketing Tool?

As a pagan, I don't really have a concept of hell. I'm more into the idea that most people jsut rot in the ground and the few heros amoung us (such as myself) rise into the sky and become gods living in the path of tears.

Here is a xtian who denies the existance of hell:

now, granted, he looks like a bone smoking darkie, but it does say that he is a minister.

What does LBC think? Is hell just a fund-raising tool?
I am on the adventure of a lifetime! This is even better than the time I used the plastic stones!

He has a nice turn of phrase:
"If I say everybody's going to heaven, then I can't raise money from you to get me to keep people out of hell," Carlton Pearson said with a wry smile."

      Gee - reminds of ...somewhere.

You're being sarcastic? So what you're trying to say is, it doesn't remind you of anywhere? Oh well, I suppose I'll have plenty of time to try and work out what you mean when you're drowning in flames for eternity for being a nonsensical Kiwi witch.
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.

God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.

The trouble is Pastor, they all look alike to me.

I think he looks more like the darkie who tried to "Goose" our Commander in Chief. (Directly behind Him)

I really don't understand how Homeland Security allowed them so close to HIM!
Look at the way they surrounded him

HE took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha Cumi; which is,
being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise!...Mark 5:41

You'll be thrilled to learn that I've remembered what it reminds me of.
