Fat doesn't make you fat. In fact, your body requires fat to survive. Consumption of more calories than your body can use make you fat. Consumption of high-glycemic carbohydrates, causing release of excessive insulin which prompts storage of glucose as fat makes you fat.

People who can maintain the diet typically lose weight on the Atkins diet, which is meat-heavy and includes lots of fat.

Meanwhile, ever heard of skim milk? It has no fat.

Learn just a little about nutrition before trying to lecture us, OK? So far, you telling us about nutrition is much like you telling us about God . . . the intellectual equivalent of pissing into the wind.

I was just wondering, because I ran across a signature on this site by a True Christian that said 'eat of the head, suck the tail, go to hell' Just checking.

As for getting back on topic, I haven't really seen anything here that stated 'God hates Vegans'. I've seen things that say man can eat meat, and can offer sacrifices but nothing says "If thou eats not of the meat, he will go to Hell."

Also, as for how you viewed my posts, I knew that you would completely reject them. No one practices a religion that they don't think is right, so of course you would think I'm wrong. Only natural.

I personally do occasionally drink milk, and eat cheese eggs and the like, so I don't actually apply for the 'vegan' category, although I do love my veggies.

No, since our Lord has specifically abolished those laws:

Acts 10:9 On the morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour:

11 And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending upon him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:

13 And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.

Since sea creatures are not mentioned in that passage, we have no idea whether or not lobsters and shrimps have been cleansed in the blood of Jesus, so we avoid eating them. But God has definitely cleansed all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.

Restraining myself doesn't make me weak. Learning to control one's power is another definition of 'meek'.

On the contrary, I have enough martial art training to kill, and get better with the day. I will kill if I feel that it's justified, and without conscience. However, when it comes to animal, it makes no sense (to me) to kill conscious life when I have alternatives. Again, I'm not preaching a turn-or-die, just stating my beliefs.

Who cares what your beliefs are? We obey every word of the Holy Bible. That's all that counts.

Your scriptures say that we can eat meat, but don't state that NOT eating meat is evil.

I would have to say that after the flood God allowed us to eat meat. I have absolutely no problem if you want to sit across me on a table and enjoy a nice steak. Totally fine. I just don't like killing things if if I don't have too.

It is all explained in the Holy Bible:

• Genesis 9:3 "Every moving thing that liveth, shall be meat for you."
• Genesis 1:27-28 "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth"
• Romans 14:2 "For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs."

Another thing; remember in Eden? Humanity wasn't allowed to eat the animals, and since Eden was a perfect place, a perfect place would be a place where animals aren't killed and eaten.

That was before Eve screwed up and everything changed.

Contest me if you want, but I have scripture on my side.

Excuse me, but this doesn't explain two things:

I actually am a vegetarian, (Oh the humanity!) and I actually find myself not only healthier, but happier and more Christ-like. Here's a mention of vegetarianism. Remember when Daniel was taken captive by Babylon's king? He and his three friends told the king that they would rather go without meat then eat the Babylonian meat. They ended healthier, stronger, and better fit than the rest of the young men.
