Leave aside the bald fact that THESE PEOPLE are Lutherins and thus hellbound from the start. Now they have enraged Christ by getting it all backwards and giving away His money. Apparently they haven't learned yet that Chick Tracts cost money.

Reversing the distribution plate
Arvada church gives each congregant $25 to be spent, in turn, on others
God works in mysterious ways — and so can the Rev. Gary Witkop.
When the pastor of Community in Christ Lutheran Brethren Church in Arvada said he was passing around the collection plate for a second time one recent Sunday, the congregation dutifully reached for wallets and purses to give a little more.
Instead, Witkop told every one of the 60 men, women and children in the congregation to take $25 from the plate.
And so, on Nov. 11 every congregant received a "reverse offering."
There was one catch.
Witkop told his flock to use the cash — $1,500 in all — to show God's love to someone else.
They could treat a friend to dinner or engage in some other form of fellowship.

"I was floored," said Eddie Culpepper, a 46-year-old Arvada mechanic. "I never expected to see that in church. Now it's time for me to reach out."
That was the message.
"That is what Jesus is calling us to do, to love people in ways that are practical," Witkop said in his sermon. "Love needs to be shown one individual to another, one person to another. Love needs to wear skin and bones."
Witkop, who has been pastor at the church for 12 years, had been mulling over the idea of a reverse offering for weeks.
He finally sorted it out alongside a mountain campfire during a hunting trip with his two sons.
"Out there in God's creation, I was able to be still and listen to the Lord about this message, one that I have been stirring and fretting over for weeks," he later told congregants.
First, Witkop had to persuade four church elders.
"We as a church must connect with the community around us or we are only an empty vessel or a clanging gong," Witkop reasoned.
Elder Wyatt Pinne said he had his doubts at first.
"We're a small church," Pinne said. "God's really blessed us with the finances to get things done,

Witkop wanted to take the $1,500 earmarked for overseas missions and spend it closer to home.
"I felt it was worth a try," Pinne said.
It was definitely worth it when he passed around the collection plate.
"I was laughing because people were automatically reaching for their billfolds," Pinne said.
"We were taken aback," said Kathy Cook, a 55-year- old nurse and church member. "I've thought about it ever since, and I ask myself, 'Why do I need a reminder to do something for someone.' "
With her $25, Cook bought a book, hopefully inspirational, for a friend who loves to read, a friend whose son is struggling with substance abuse.
Eddie and Kathy Culpepper thought long and hard about what to do with their offering. They know so many who could use it.
After more than a week of thought, the Culpeppers selected friends of theirs, the Louckses, whom they greatly admire and who, like most people, could use a little extra cash, especially for their adopted son Remmi, who has autism.
